A drunken Disney World Guest was caught puking in the bushes, but they weren’t the only ones caught with issues related to alcohol. Is this how Disney will go down hill?
Walt Disney World Resort is known as “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” Being the most magical place, Disney Park Guest expect to have beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. Lately, Guests cannot recall what happened while they were in Disney or wake up the next day with a hangover.
Walt Disney World Resort has four theme parks Guests can enjoy. Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each theme park includes many attractions for Guests. Guests heading to Magic Kingdom can walk down Main Street U.S.A to spot Cinderella Castle.
Just a monorail ride over, EPCOT allows Guests to learn about different cultures. At the proper drinking age, Guests can “drink around the world.” Drinking around the world is when Guests buy different alcohol at various quick-service spots and try other drinks at World stops, like Mexico or China. The World Showcase has 11 different cultures Guests can experience.
In a Reddit Thread, Guests complained about Disney World becoming “less classy.”
One Guest spotted a Guest getting sick at Diseny’s Animal Kingdom. While Guests don’t “drink around the world” at other Disney Parks, alcohol is still available for purchase.
“I’ve now seen someone puking drunk at not only EPCOT, but saw a woman puke in the bushes next to the seating at Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom – the other Park you can walk around with a full liquor drink in your hand.”
Disney Guests have also seen Cast Members cussed out for Guests not wanting to throw out drinks. Or parents “shotgunning” drinks in line.
“I watched a woman cuss out a CM because the CM asked her to either finish drinking or throw out her coffee before entering the millennium falcon queue. like, that CM was just doing her job ??♀️”
Another Guest said that they were surprised to see the same kind of behavior at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
“We did mickeys not so scary halloween party on this last trip and two moms (who were supervising their KINDERGARTEN age daughters) were legitimately shotgunning beers in line behind us while we were waiting to get in.. complaining about how MK was the boring park because they “don’t serve any booze” at any quick service locations.”
Guests feel like EPCOT is becoming an “Adult-Only Park.
“Drinking at Epcot is out of control. Disney doesn’t seem to care as I’m sure it is a miracle cash cow for them.
I miss having Epcot be the intersection of science and imagination. And alcohol only offered at fine-dining restaurants. Now it feels like epcot is a cross between IP and alcohol.
Let’s call a spade a spade. Epcot has become Festival of the Drunks. No one should bring their children to that park.”
With Disney being a family-friendly theme park and Resort area, Guests should be kind and watchful of others around them. Also, remember that Cast Members are at Disney to help Guests, so if you see someone getting sick or injured, they are there to help.
Epcot was terrible not for kids with all the DRUNKS and why in the world would they put Frozen ride in the middle of a Bunch of DRUNKS PEEING AND PUKING EVERYWHERE
