If you haven’t visited Disney Springs recently, you’re missing out! Since the change from Downtown Disney, there is more going on than ever. Parking is free, making the area a favorite for both tourists and locals. Disney Springs is awesome during the day, but here are seven things that are even more incredible at night. There are plenty more.

7. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

The Landing

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar opens before noon most days, but it’s better at night. If you’re a fan of Raiders of the Lost Ark, this is a must-visit. Jock Lindsey (Indy’s pilot) decided to turn his hangar into a watering hole, and the results will put you in the middle of the time period. You’ll find yourself watching the door, expecting Indiana Jones to walk through at any time. Enjoy your Rolling Boulder Sliders and German Mechanic inside, or head out and grab a seat on Reggie. It’s Jock’s dry-dock ship named after his beloved pet snake. The view after dark is beautiful, and if you close your eyes for a moment you might hear the iconic theme song by John Williams running through your head.

6. Characters in Flight…Operated by Aerophile

West Side

If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing Walt Disney World from the sky, you’ll want to check out Characters in Flight. The tethered balloon flies 400 feet in the air, giving you an incredible view of the entire area. After dark it is even more amazing because you’ll be able to see everything lit up. Time your flight for sunset for something unforgettable. Characters in Flight…Operated by Aerophile does not operate in inclement weather, including high winds.

5. Live Entertainment

Various locations

You can spend hours at Disney Springs in the evenings and not enter one building. There is plenty of live entertainment. You could join in on a dance party, get pictures with a human statue, listen to a guitarist, watch live dancing, or relax with a drink while listening to local artists. There is even more live entertainment inside some of the restaurants. Not everything is offered all nights; which means you might want to stop by a couple of evenings.

4. Splitsville Luxury Lanes

West Side

It’s late and Epcot has closed, but you don’t want the day to end. How about heading to Splitsville and bowling for a little while? This is more than your run of the mill bowling alley. There are 30 lanes, five bars, two sushi bars, live music, dancing, and more. The food is exceptional, with a menu designed by celebrity chef Tim Cushman. Splitsville is open most nights until 1:00am. After midnight, you can feast on pizza and desserts until closing.

3. La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil

West Side

If you haven’t seen La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil recently, you need to change that on your next Walt Disney World vacation. Parts of the show were updated in 2015, and it is more amazing than ever. You’ll see 65 artists from 15 different countries perform, and you will leave wowed. La Nouba has a reputation by some for being expensive, but the good news is that there are ticket deals offered fairly often. Go ahead and get the cheap seats, there’s not a bad view in the house.

2. Concerts at House of Blues

West Side

For something a bit different at Walt Disney World you will want to check out a concert at House of Blues. The venue is known for bringing in world famous acts, and will often feature the best in local entertainment as well. Chances are there will be someone who you like playing while you’re in town. If you want front of the line privileges, order an entree in the House of Blues Restaurant, or spend $20 or more in the House of Blues Store. You’ll then receive “Pass the Line” privileges, one pass per entree or $20 spent.

1. Signature Dining

Various locations

Whether you’re looking for a romantic evening for two, or you want fine food for a group gathering, you need to check out the signature restaurants at Disney Springs. Some of the best dining in all of Central Florida is found in the area. You can feast on seafood, enjoy steak, or dine on the creations of a celebrity chef. There are several signature dining experiences currently at Disney Springs, and more are on the way. If you’re looking for the best meal of your vacation and possibly your year, you’ll find it at Disney Springs after dark.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
