Spend the PERFECT Day at Disney’s Beach Club Resort

The Crescent Lake area of Walt Disney World is home to several popular Disney Resorts that are the choice of many Guests thanks to their wonderful themes and amenities. Their location is just steps from both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort is nestled along Crescent Lake and brings the style and elegance of New England to life through light blue classic buildings with bright white trim and beachy décor. The Disney Resort is home to many wonderful eateries, amenities, and experiences that make it the perfect location to enjoy a day just around the Resort itself. Here are some activities to enjoy having a perfect Resort day at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

Breakfast at Cape May CafĂ© – Guests should head to Cape May CafĂ© for breakfast to kick off a perfect day. This full-service restaurant is open daily for breakfast and dinner and serves up a family-style breakfast with plenty of fresh seafood options. The restaurant’s dĂ©cor is cheery with bright colors, whimsical trim work that evokes crashing waves, and murals of turn-of-the-century beachgoers playing in the sand. Guests who dine at Cape May CafĂ© for breakfast can enjoy assorted pastries and bread, a yogurt parfait with fresh seasonal fruit, a variety of omelets including ham and cheese and western, as well as a hot breakfast platter that features classic items such as Mickey Waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potato barrels, and beef hash.

Coffee from Beach Club Marketplace and a Stroll – After a hearty and filling breakfast, Guests should make a quick stop at the Beach Club Marketplace and order up some beverages from Joffrey’s Coffee. In addition to freshly brewed coffee, Guests can also opt for specialty beverages such as Caffe Latte, Espresso, and Cappuccino. After grabbing their coffee, Guests can head outside to the exterior of Disney’s Beach Resort and enjoy a leisurely stroll around Crescent Lake, taking in the sights and sounds. This pathway will bring Guests through Disney’s Beach Club Resort past the International Gateway of EPCOT, through the boardwalk at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, past the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and finally through Disney’s Yacht Club. With beautiful water views the whole way and lots of opportunities to check out the various scenery and sun, this is a great relaxing experience to enjoy in the morning.

Relax at Stormalong Bay – After a long, leisurely walk, Guests can relax for the rest of the morning at Stormalong Bay. The amazing main pool is shared by both Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and spans over three acres filled with fun. Featuring a massive shipwreck as its centerpiece, Stormalong Bay invites Guests to lounge in comfortable chairs, float around a lazy river, whip down a two hundred and thirty-foot slide, soak in one of several hot tubs, or take a dip in the sand-bottomed pool. Guests can easily spend hours relaxing and playing at Stormalong Bay, and it is the perfect way to relax during a Resort day.

Lunch from Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill – While lounging at Stormalong Bay, Guests are sure to work up an appetite. There is an adjacent pool bar that serves up American classics and delicious cocktails. Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill is a walk-up counter service location where Guests can dig into options, including Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Seafood Roll, Garden Salad, Hanna’s Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger, Turkey and Swiss Sandwich, and Hummus and Crudite. In addition to non-alcoholic beverages, Guests can also imbibe in cocktails such as the Bourbon Breeze, Poolside Iced Tea, Cucumber & Mint Mojito, Strawberry Margarita, and Blueberry Lemonade, in addition to beer and wine selections.

Ride the Boats – After a morning at Stormalong Bay, Guests should head down to the end of the dock shared by Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and enjoy a leisurely ride on one of the continuously running watercraft that stop there. From there, Guests can enjoy a loop that brings features scenic sails and stops at EPCOT, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This quick and enjoyable ride is a great way to check out the scenery and beauty of Crescent Lake from a different vantage point and is also a relaxing way to spend some time.

Shop at the Beach Club Marketplace – Upon returning to Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Guests can head back to the Beach Place Marketplace, where they picked up their coffee earlier and this time, take some time to look around and shop. The store also features an array of general Walt Disney World merchandise and items that are unique to the Disney Resort. Other items are sold from third-party companies, including clothing, accessories, jewelry, souvenirs, and more. Guests can definitely find the perfect something at the Beach Club Marketplace to bring home to remind them of their vacation.

Dinner at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop – Dinner is the perfect time for those staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort to enjoy a meal at the very popular Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. The table service location evokes the spirit and charm of the nostalgic Atlantic seashore with an array of pastel colors, charming lighting, and artwork that features Disney characters enjoying the classic soda fountain. Serving up indulgent American classics, Guests can dig into menu options such as French Dip Sandwich, Beaches & Cream Grilled Cheese, Cheddar-Bacon-Ranch Chicken Sandwich, Chili, and Cheese Tots, and Onion Rings. The main courses are all delicious, but Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is mainly known for its truly decadent desserts, including milkshakes and the famous ice cream sundaes. Guests can share the massive Kitchen Sink, which serves up to four as well as sundaes such as the No Way Jose, Snickers Sundae, and Classic Banana Split.

Drinks at Martha’s Vineyard – After a filling and indulgent dinner, Guests can work their way over to a laid-back lounge for a nightcap to celebrate their relaxing day. Martha’s Vineyard is a cheery location inspired by the coziness of New England beach houses and features a bright interior offset with dark wood accents. Guests can choose from a variety of beer and wine and specialty cocktails such as the Walk the Plank, Raspberry Mojito, Spicy Poblano Margarita, Moscow Mule, and more. Those who still have room after their dinner can also order up appetizers, including Mussels, New England Clam Chowder, Buffalo-Glazed Wings, and an Artisan Cheese Plate.

Relax on the Beach – The perfect way to end a day at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is by venturing down to the beach itself and enjoying the beauty of Crescent Lake after dark. The popcorn lighting from all around the boardwalk sets up a beautiful scene that Guests can enjoy from hammocks, chairs, or the sand itself. Depending on the night, the Disney Resort also offers up activities on the beach, including everything from a movie under the stars to a campfire and the opportunity to make fresh s’mores. Relaxing nighttime on the beach is truly the perfect end to a Resort day at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
