Law Enforcement Investigates Burglary at Disney World Hotel
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort became the scene of a police response Tuesday afternoon after a burglary was reported at the Value Resort hotel on Walt Disney World property.
What We Know About the Incident

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office logged the report at 12:14 p.m. on August 25. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime relayed the publicly available call information on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing:

The post also included a Google Maps screenshot marking a specific point within the resort. That location, however, isn’t necessarily where the burglary took place. Calls involving Walt Disney World Resort’s theme parks, hotels, and Disney Springs are frequently tagged to broad, general coordinates rather than the exact site of the reported incident.

Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has issued a statement addressing what happened. Should a police report or criminal charges eventually be filed, more specifics about the hotel burglary reported at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort could become publicly available.
Resort Operations Remain Unaffected
A check of the My Disney Experience app shows no signs that the reported burglary has disrupted operations at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Guests can still access the Disney Skyliner and resort bus transportation, as well as pools, Quick-Service dining, and other standard hotel amenities.

Travelers planning to visit or stay at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks or hotels shouldn’t feel the need to adjust their itineraries. Still, if guests encounter any law enforcement or security activity while on Disney property, it’s best to avoid the immediate area and follow instructions from officials present.
