When it comes to innovation, the Walt Disney Company is one of the leaders. Whether visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort, the work by the innovative Walt Disney Imagineering team always leaves Guests stunned in the best way.
Even with Walt Disney Imagineering’s wondrous ability to make that one-of-a-kind Disney magic happen, even the newest attractions can be susceptible to technical difficulties.
In Disneyland Park, the newest ride is already plagued with errors. From audio animatronics failing to screens displaying the wrong thing. However, this may be the worst technical difficulty to date:
In this video, we can see that one of the most prominent screens in the attraction is displaying a Windows error instead of the background necessary for the scene.
Disneyland Park’s newest ride, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, relies heavily on screens. Everything in this theme park attraction depends on a screen and a projector, from the environment to the animatronic figures.
However, displaying a giant Windows error instead of the cartoonish world within the El Capitoon Theater quickly takes Guests out of the magic, shattering the illusion of the ride.
Ironically, one of the biggest themes of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is that the day will always have a happy ending, no matter what gets in the way. A jaunty tune sung by Mickey and Minnie throughout the attraction plays: “Nothing can stop us now!”
However, it seems that a Windows error can, in fact, stop Mickey and Minnie’s runaway railway! It just goes to show that even the newest rides can malfunction.
