Historic Disneyland Main Street Area Will Not Welcome Guests This August
Disneyland Resort has announced that a brand-new attraction on Main Street, U.S.A., will temporarily close this August. So Much That We Share: A Tribute to the Sherman Brothers, a show that premiered on July 17, 2025, as part of the Disneyland70 celebrations, has closed just weeks after its grand opening.
The attraction honors the incredible musical contributions of Richard and Robert Sherman, the iconic songwriting duo responsible for creating many of the most recognizable melodies across Disney Parks. So Much That We Share: A Tribute to the Sherman Brothers includes a screening of The Last Verse (2024), a short film that introduced the final verse to “it’s a small world,” written by Richard Sherman before he died in 2024.
Sherman’s final verse was added to the “it’s a small world” attractions at both Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom Park last month.
However, after debuting on July 17, 2025, So Much That We Share: A Tribute to the Sherman Brothers has now closed due to filming at Disneyland Resort. According to WDWNT, a sign outside the Main Street Cinema informs guests that the attraction will be unavailable through August 16, 2025.
The filming is for the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series, which is currently being produced for Disney+. The live-action and animated show, written and produced by Jon Favreau, stars Kathryn Hahn, Mykal-Michelle Harris, Amy Sedaris, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, and Ryder Allen. This week, several guests spotted Favreau and some of the cast filming scenes at various locations throughout the Southern California Disney parks.
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, created by Walt Disney for Universal in 1927, has a special place in Disney history. After losing the rights to Oswald in 1928, the company regained control of the character in 2006. Oswald has since appeared in Disney merchandise, meet-and-greets, and even the “Epic Mickey” video games. This upcoming series marks Oswald’s first solo project.
