The Sleeping Beauty Castle stage first closed last summer for what was expected to be a nine-month refurbishment. Instead, Disney Park guests faced construction walls for 15 months before finally seeing the project completed. On Monday, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DLPReport finally shared photos of the refurbished entertainment venue.

🔧 After 15 months of construction (originally estimated to be 9), Castle Stage was unveiled over the weekend. It features a new anti-slip stage, anti-guests edges, new backstage rooms technical enhancements and overall refurbishment:

The updates included an anti-slip stage, expanded backstage space for Disney cast members, and “anti-guest” barriers aimed at stopping visitors from climbing onto the Sleeping Beauty Castle stage or other restricted areas.

The expanded backstage areas are most visible from the back of the Sleeping Beauty Castle stage. As @DLPReport explained:

🔧 The back side of Castle Stage looks the most strikingly different with access for the backstage rooms for tech and performers who won’t have to trek from the parade gate to get on stage anymore.

With the Sleeping Beauty Castle stage reopening, Disneyland Park (Paris) guests can once again enjoy Cinderella’s Wishing Well and the connecting path through the castle. From @DLPReport:

🔧 With the Castle Stage back open, so are the renovated Wishing Well area, and the access to Sleeping Beauty Castle from that side:

The Sleeping Beauty Castle stage is one of many ongoing updates across Disneyland Paris Resort. Over at Walt Disney Studios Park, the World of Frozen expansion is progressing toward a spring 2026 opening, coinciding with the park’s new name: Disney Adventure World. Work also continues at Disney Village, where a new McDonald’s restaurant is replacing the retro-inspired location currently on the property.
