Disney Blocks Fantasyland and Adventureland Areas, Revokes Guest Access Without Notice

Disneyland Paris Resort has unexpectedly closed off access to major sections of Disneyland Park, leaving guests with limited entrance points to both Fantasyland and Adventureland as of September 2025. Construction walls have been erected at multiple walkways to these areas, and no advance notice was given to visitors about the change. Disneyland Paris Resort has not disclosed the exact nature of the work.

The timing of this development comes as Disneyland Paris is undergoing a series of transformations across its parks and resorts. Disneyland Park recently gave guests a sneak peek at the new nighttime lighting enhancements coming to Hyperspace Mountain, while World of Frozen, a new land at Walt Disney Studios Park, is set to open in 2026. This latest addition is part of the park’s ongoing transformation into Disney Adventure World. Meanwhile, at Disney Village, crews are constructing a modern McDonald’s to replace the older, retro-inspired location.

On September 9, X (formerly Twitter) user @DLPReport shared photos showing the construction walls surrounding the Fantasyland and Adventureland passage at Disneyland Park. The images revealed that brown construction walls and scrims, made to resemble plants, now block off the walkway and a nearby landscaped area.

The construction is closest to the Au Chalet de la Marionnette Quick Service restaurant. However, it has not affected its operation, and the dining location remains open to Disney Park guests.

It’s unclear what specific changes are being made in these areas, though it’s possible that this is part of ongoing maintenance or a refurbishment project. The passage between Fantasyland and Adventureland has seen updates in the past, so this could be part of another routine upgrade.
