Only One Sunday Remains for Guests Looking to Visit Disneyland During Halloween Event
10th Date Sells out
Halloween at Disneyland Resort may still be several weeks away, but one part of the fall calendar is already becoming considerably less flexible.
Disneyland’s ticket system now lists the Sunday, September 20, presentation of Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party as sold out. It is the 10th date to become unavailable for the 2026 season and leaves August 30 as the only Sunday party still available to the general public.
That distinction matters. Disneyland will hold another Sunday event on September 27, but that party is reserved for D23 Members and their guests. For regular buyers hoping to place Oogie Boogie Bash at the end of a weekend trip, the calendar has effectively narrowed to one choice.
Disneyland’s Oogie Boogie Bash Sunday Tickets Are Nearly Gone
The latest sellout continues a pattern visible throughout the summer. Sundays have consistently disappeared before the event’s more numerous Tuesday and Thursday parties.
The 10 dates now unavailable through Disneyland’s standard event calendar are:
- Sunday, August 23
- Sunday, September 6
- Sunday, September 13
- Sunday, September 20
- Thursday, September 24
- Sunday, October 4
- Sunday, October 11
- Sunday, October 18
- Sunday, October 25
- Saturday, October 31
Inside the Magic previously tracked the progression from six unavailable Oogie Boogie Bash nights to eight sold-out dates. The September 13 party then became the ninth date to sell out.
September 20’s removal gives prospective buyers a more consequential deadline. August 30 is no longer simply one date among several Sundays; it is the final broadly available Sunday on the calendar.
Disneyland lists the August 30 ticket at $159 for guests ages three and older. Tickets are date-specific, limited in number, nonrefundable, and may not be resold or transferred for commercial purposes, according to the official Oogie Boogie Bash event page.
Disney has not published the event’s nightly capacity or disclosed how many August 30 tickets remain. Availability on the ticket calendar should therefore be read as “available now,” not a guarantee that the date will remain open.
What the Last General-Public Sunday Changes for Disneyland Guests
Oogie Boogie Bash runs for a record 33 nights in 2026, up from the schedule Disneyland initially revealed in December. Ten sold-out parties represent fewer than one-third of the entire run, so tickets have not vanished across the board.
The pressure is concentrated around particular dates.
Tuesday and Thursday parties can require visitors to rearrange work, school, flights, or hotel stays. Sunday offers an easier fit at the end of a weekend, particularly for travelers who can return home Monday. That practical advantage helps explain why the Sunday calendar matters more than the raw number of remaining events.
August 30 also falls before the higher-priced October stretch. Tickets for the remaining standard parties range from $139 to $189, while Halloween night was priced at $199 before selling out. Guests who can travel earlier still have several August and September options, including lower-priced weeknight events.
Oogie Boogie Bash tickets include admission to Disney California Adventure beginning at 3 p.m. The separately ticketed party runs from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m., with immersive treat trails, character encounters, Villains Grove, Halloween attraction overlays, and unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass pictures captured during event hours. A separate daytime theme-park ticket and reservation are not required when entering with the party ticket at 3 p.m. or later.
Oogie Boogie Bash Returns With a Noticeable Entertainment Change
Ticket demand does not mean the 2026 event will be identical to previous years.
The Frightfully Fun Parade will not appear this season. Disneyland is instead introducing Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party, an entertainment offering built around Madame Leota, happy haunts, music, and dancing. The first Oogie Boogie Bash takes place August 18, three days before Disneyland Resort’s broader Halloween Time celebration begins August 21. General-public tickets went on sale June 18 following limited Magic Key presales, a rollout Inside the Magic covered when early ticket access began.
Guests who specifically need a Sunday should check Disneyland’s live calendar before committing to airfare or lodging. August 30 remains available at publication, but Disneyland offers no waiting list or promise of a later ticket release once a party sells out.
There are still plenty of Oogie Boogie Bash nights. The comfortable weekend choices, however, have almost run out.
