“Vicious” Animal Attack Petrifies Families at Disneyland

When you think of Disneyland Resort, you probably imagine happy families, beloved characters, and magical memories. However, this week, Disneyland Park guests made a different kind of memory in the heart of Fantasyland: a fight between two of the resort’s animal residents.

Instagram user @as.always.andrea captured the surprising scene as two Canadian geese got into a physical altercation in the popular Disneyland Park area. The video, which quickly went viral, shows families caught in the middle of the chaos, unable to navigate through Fantasyland without encountering the fight.

Instagram users couldn’t help but weigh in on the nature of these “vicious” animals, calling out the geese for their aggressive behavior.

“Wait those are geese tho?!?” @amazingjr87 commented. “Geese are vicious birds. Stay far away from them.”

“Here in Canada we call them cobra chickens as a nickname,” @kara.book.faerie added. “So this is established behaviour of theirs.”

“They can be VERY aggressive,” @popmusingsandmascara agreed.

While the fight did cause a disruption in Fantasyland, it seems the geese eventually settled their differences. No guests were harmed, though some were left temporarily blocked from their path as the animals squared off. It remains unclear what exactly sparked the altercation between the two geese, but given their reputation for aggression, it’s safe to say this wasn’t an isolated incident.

This isn’t the first physical altercation at the Southern California Disney parks–though we’re usually talking about human guests! Earlier this year, a man was filmed assaulting security cast members at Disney California Adventure Park. In October, a disturbing video showed adults brawling in Mickey’s Toontown, one of the most child-friendly parts of Disneyland Park. Typically, a fight earns guests an instant ban from Disneyland Resort.
