Tomorrowland Area at Disneyland Finally Gets an Overhaul

Following more than a month of construction walls blocking the area from Disney Park guests, Disneyland Park has finally debuted the refurbished seating area outside Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland. Here’s what families should know before visiting Disneyland Resort.

On January 27, 2026, blue construction walls went up around the Galactic Grill outdoor seating area at Disneyland Park, including the Tomorrowland Terrace stage. Despite the patio and stage closure, the Galactic Grill Quick-Service dining location remained open and continued serving Disney Park guests.

It took until March 1 for the construction walls to come down around the Galactic Grill patio and Tomorrowland Terrace stage. On Facebook, WDWNT shared this photo of the newly refurbished Tomorrowland seating area already in use by Disneyland Park guests.

What Changed?

Strangely, not much about the Galactic Grill outdoor seating area and the Tomorrowland Terrace stage appears to have changed. Disneyland Resort returned the same chairs, tables, and umbrellas that had been moved to the exterior of the construction walls to their normal positions on the patio. The pattern on the concrete ground appears the same.

During the refurbishment, Disneyland Resort appears to have focused on cleaning up scuffed paint and other wear-and-tear on the Tomorrowland Terrace stage and the Galactic Grill outdoor seating area. Disney Park guests planning to dine or relax at the Quick-Service restaurant shouldn’t expect to notice any major differences.

Disneyland Resort didn’t issue a public statement about this refurbishment in Tomorrowland. The Disney parks rarely release information about minor construction projects that don’t significantly impact the guest experience, especially when they don’t result in the closure of a restaurant, attraction, or other experience.
