Parts of Disneyland are now closed due to serious safety concerns.

The Disney theme parks are famous for their impressive collection of thrill and dark rides, some of which are considered the best theme park attractions in the world. Rides like Space Mountain, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Matterhorn Bobsleds are absolutely iconic and recognizable, even by those who have not visited the Disney theme parks.
However, the lands and distinct areas guests can visit during a Disney theme park vacation are just as important and iconic. Places like Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and Adventureland have inspired and entertained guests for decades.
Like Walt Disney World and Disneyland, Disneyland Paris features a small 20th-century American town now known as Main Street, U.S.A. Here, guests will find various boutiques, from jewelry stores to gift shops. They can also grab a bite to eat or sip on their morning cup of coffee. However, Disneyland Paris’ Main Street, U.S.A., leads straight toward the resort’s incredible rendition of Sleeping Beauty Castle, which may be Disney’s most visually stunning theme park castle to date.

The castle demands guests’ attention, featuring a pink and blue exterior similar to Disneyland and Walt Disney World versions. However, Disneyland Paris’ castle lies on top of beautiful grass hills and is surrounded by lush foliage. Unfortunately, Main Street, U.S.A., recently encountered several issues, with parts of the land being closed to the public.
Twitter user DisneyphileLIVE shared images revealing parts of Main Street, U.S.A., are now closed to guests. The access point under the Main Street, U.S.A. train station is now blocked.
This was done out of caution, with several severely damaged metal arches being considered safety hazards.

Large fences block the path, ensuring guests do not travel under the arches. These images made the rounds online, with former Walt Disney Imagineer Eddie Sotto weighing in on the unfortunate damage.
“Not good,” stated Sotto. “They are not structural (fiberglass), but either something backed into it or the ceiling is settling on it.”
The Disneyland Paris Resort has several areas that desperately need renovation. The bridge leading into Sleeping Beauty Castle is cracking and crumbling, and guests’ photos reveal the damage’s severity. Portions of Sleeping Beauty Castle were also damaged, though the castle received a much-needed renovation that fixed the damage.
These fixes come as Disneyland Paris enters one of the resort’s most transformational periods. Several areas across Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park are now covered with construction walls, with multiple rides, attractions, lands, shops, and other locations now receiving upgrades and remodels.
Part of this large-scale refurbishment of Disneyland Paris includes renaming Walt Disney Studios park to Disney Adventure World, a name that gives Disney more freedom to build new rides and attractions in the future.
