The Walt Disney World Resort has revealed an urgent operational change ahead of its busy Fourth of July weekend.
While not as busy as spring break, Christmas, or New Year’s, the Fourth of July weekend does bring a lot of guests out to the Disney World theme parks in Orlando, Central Florida. Guests are expected to enjoy the holiday across the resort’s four theme parks and two water theme parks this weekend, with Magic Kingdom hosting the Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky on July 3 and July 4, exclusively.
Additional Magic Kingdom activities for July 4 include DJ parties taking place around the park in Frontierland, Tomorrowland, and near Cinderella Castle. It’s not just Magic Kingdom getting involved in the Fourth of July festivities, as EPCOT will also be presenting Heartbeat of Freedom after its nightly performance of Luminous The Symphony of Us.
Hearbeat of Freedom’s exclusive July 4 performance will not be the only change to EPCOT’s operation this year. The resort has urgently added more performances of the Voices of Liberty to cater to larger crowds.
“Step into the hallowed halls of The American Adventure Pavilion for an inspiring vocal performance by the Voices of Liberty,” the official Walt Disney World Resort website states about the attraction. “Their melodies delight while the rotunda’s acoustically perfect dome amplifies and purifies their sound—you won’t believe your ears! Let your spirits soar during their 15-minute performance of timeless classics.”
Usually, the Voices of Liberty performances wrap up at 3:45 p.m. However, for July 4, Disney has shuffled the schedule and added evening performances at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Guests can catch the Voices of Liberty on July 4 at 11:15 a.m., 12 p.m., 12:45 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 3:45 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m..
July 4 is set to be busy for Central Florida
As Orlando International Airport’s communications team outlined, it will be another busy year for Central Florida tourism.
“A direct comparison of travel numbers from 2024 shows that July 4, 2025, travel will likely lead to another record year,” the official Orlando International Airport’s press release explained.
“Overall, traffic is expected to increase nearly 2 percent with some 1.43 million passengers during the 9-day travel period, which starts on Sunday, June 29, ending on Monday, July 7,” the report continued. “The busiest travel day is projected to be Sunday, July 6, when an estimated 175 thousand passengers will pass through MCO.”
