Starbucks Disappears From Disney World, No Return Date in Sight

A central Starbucks location at Walt Disney World Resort has disappeared from Disney Springs, and there’s still no indication of when—or even if—it will return. This particular Starbucks, located in the West Side area of Disney Springs, has been out of commission for months, leaving guests wondering when the popular coffee spot will reopen.

The closure began in March, after Walt Disney World Resort and Starbucks announced plans for a refurbishment in February. The companies described the closure as a much-needed “overhaul.” Initially, the store was only supposed to be closed for a few months and expected to reopen sometime in June.

However, as the summer passed, the construction walls around the Starbucks location remained up, and there were no updates on when the store would finally open its doors again. By July, it was clear that the project was delayed indefinitely. No new reopening date was given, and the store remained behind construction walls.

Finally, on August 13, 2025, Laughing Place reported that the construction walls around the Starbucks had come down. The store is still closed, and no major changes to the exterior have been made. The updates are believed to be happening inside, but Disney and Starbucks have kept quiet about what exactly is being worked on.

For those seeking a caffeine fix, there are still other Starbucks locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Guests can visit Starbucks at the World of Disney in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs, or grab a coffee at any of the four locations in the theme parks: the Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom, Connections Café at EPCOT, Creature Comforts at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and The Trolley Car Café at Hollywood Studios.

Starbucks continues its partnership with Disney, offering exclusive merchandise such as mugs, tumblers, and ornaments. These are available at various locations throughout Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort and on the Disney Store website.
