Disney World Sells Out for Second Time in 2026, No Tickets Available
We spend a lot of time thinking about what to eat at Disney parks.

That is our whole thing and we are not apologizing for it.
But we also spend a lot of time actually at the parks, which means we see firsthand what happens when guests show up without knowing what the day actually has in store for them.
And right now there are two Walt Disney World situations that are absolutely the kind of thing people are going to find out about at the worst possible moment — standing in front of a sold-out event page, or arriving at Magic Kingdom for a full evening only to discover it is closing four hours earlier than expected. We are not letting that happen to you. Here is what is going on and what you need to do about it before your trip.
EPCOT After Hours Sold Out Again and More Dates Are Following

The April 2 Disney After Hours event at EPCOT is gone. Sold out. It is the second EPCOT date to sell out in the 2026 season, joining February 19, and both of those sold-out dates were priced at $179 per person — the top end of the EPCOT After Hours pricing range this year.
To put that in context: sell-outs across the full 2026 After Hours season have been pretty rare. Magic Kingdom has only hit capacity on two dates all season — January 12 and March 9. Hollywood Studios has not sold out a single After Hours date yet. EPCOT selling out twice already, both times at the premium price point, tells you something real about demand for these spring dates.
If you have been watching and waiting to book, this is us telling you to stop watching and start booking.
What You Actually Get for That Ticket Price
In case you have not done an After Hours event before, here is the pitch. Entry starts at 7 p.m. The exclusive event runs 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. No theme park reservation required — just the ticket. And included in that ticket price are complimentary ice cream novelties, popcorn, and bottled beverages all night.
The ride lineup for EPCOT After Hours includes Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After, Soarin’, Test Track, and more, all with dramatically shorter wait times than you would see during a regular park day. Character appearances from Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy are part of the evening. There is also a DJ dance party at CommuniCore Plaza, which is more fun than it sounds.
Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members get $30 off per ticket. At $179, that brings it to $149 for eligible guests. Check your status before you buy.
The Dates That Are Still Available

Here is every remaining EPCOT After Hours date for 2026, with per-person prices before tax.
April 9, April 15, April 23, and April 30 are all $179. May 21 and June 11 and June 18 are $179 as well. July 9 is $179. July 23 drops to $169. August 6 and August 13 are both $159. September 16 and September 24 are the most affordable remaining dates at $155 each.
If you want spring, move fast. If you want savings, look at August or September. Either way, do not wait until the date you want is gone and you are reading a sold-out notice instead.
Now for the Magic Kingdom Situation on May 13

Okay, this one is important and a lot of people are going to miss it.
Magic Kingdom is closing at 5:30 p.m. on May 13, 2026. Not a typo. 5:30 p.m. During spring. When the park normally runs until 9 or 10 p.m. or later.
The reason is a private corporate buyout. The SAP Sapphire and ASUG Annual Conference, which is meeting at the Orange County Convention Center, is hosting an exclusive “Celebration Night at Magic Kingdom” for conference attendees only. The SAP website sells it this way: “Enjoy iconic attractions, beloved Disney characters, delicious food, and a private concert against the backdrop of Cinderella Castle — a celebration night you won’t want to miss.” The Dave Matthews Band is performing.
Good for them. Genuinely. But for regular Walt Disney World guests who paid full price for a Magic Kingdom day expecting an evening of fireworks and late-night rides, the practical reality is brutal. No Happily Ever After fireworks. No nighttime parade. No late rides on Space Mountain or Pirates of the Caribbean. The park will start clearing out regular guests in the afternoon so the conference crowd can have their night.
Morning hours and early theme park entry for eligible resort hotel guests are still happening normally. The damage is entirely to the evening.
What to Do If Your Trip Overlaps With Either of These
If you want EPCOT After Hours, pick a date from the list above and book it. The $179 spring dates have already proven they will sell. The later summer and fall dates are your best bet if budget matters more than timing.
If you are visiting Magic Kingdom on May 13, you have a few options and none of them are bad, they just require adjusting now rather than later. EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom are all expected to run normal hours that day, so park hopping to one of them for the evening is a solid play. Disney Springs works too if you want a low-key night with good food and no extra admission. And if you have a dining reservation inside Magic Kingdom for after 5:30 p.m., move it right now. Other restaurants near the parks are going to fill up fast once word gets around.
Walt Disney World’s operating calendar does not always send you a notification when something like this changes. The onus is on you to check. Do it before your trip, not after you are already there.
We keep a running eye on Walt Disney World park hours and event availability and will flag anything else that comes up that could affect your plans. In the meantime, our full Disney World event and dining guide is on the site — check it before you book anything and make sure your evenings are planned around what is actually happening, not what you assumed was happening.
Have a trip coming up that overlaps with either of these? Drop your dates in the comments and we will help you figure out the best plan.
