Guests who see Tinker Bell during nighttime entertainment at Walt Disney World may notice that something about the famous fairy looks different.
Disney has replaced an important piece of her costume, and the new version becomes particularly noticeable after sunset.
For Tinker Bell fans, it also gives them another reason to pay close attention during Magic Kingdom’s parades.
Tinker Bell Is Sporting a New Look
Tinker Bell has received new wings at Walt Disney World.
Rather than simply recreating her previous look, the updated wings feature bright lights that glow as she moves through Magic Kingdom.
The effect is especially noticeable during Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Tinker Bell’s wings now illuminate against the darker backdrop of the park, helping her stand out among the floats, performers, and other characters filling the parade route.

It’s a fitting change for a character so closely associated with pixie dust and Disney magic.
While Disney regularly updates costumes and entertainment offerings, Tinker Bell’s wings are such a recognizable part of the character that the replacement immediately changes how she appears at night.

The new light-up wings can also be spotted during Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.
During the Halloween season, Disney Starlight takes place on nights when Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party isn’t happening.
The number of performances can vary depending on the date. Some evenings may feature two performances, while others may only have one.
That means guests shouldn’t assume the schedule will remain the same throughout their vacation.
Checking the My Disney Experience app or Walt Disney World’s official website before heading to the parade route is the best way to find the latest performance times.
For guests without Halloween party tickets, Disney Starlight provides another opportunity to see Tinker Bell’s new look after dark.
There Aren’t Many Ways To See Tinker Bell
The updated wings are particularly interesting because Tinker Bell doesn’t currently have a regular Walt Disney World meet-and-greet.
That limits how guests can see the character during a Magic Kingdom visit.
