Disney World Prices Hit All-Time Sky-High

If you’re planning a Disney World vacation in 2025, there’s one thing you might want to double-check before finalizing your itinerary: the price of Disney’s special tours and Enchanting Extras. These unique, behind-the-scenes experiences are known for giving guests a closer look at the magic—whether that’s exploring hidden areas of the parks or getting up close with exotic wildlife. But now, several of them are a little pricier.

Over the past year, Disney has implemented multiple price adjustments across the resort. From Lightning Lane to single-day park tickets, food, and beverages, nearly every area has seen an increase—and now, Disney’s signature tours are following suit. While the hikes aren’t drastic, they add up, especially for guests planning multi-day trips or traveling with family.

So what’s changed, and how can you still make the most of these one-of-a-kind experiences without overspending?

What’s New: Price Increases for Disney World Tours and Extras

Several of Disney World’s most popular tours have officially increased in price, including options across Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom.

At Magic Kingdom, the highly rated Keys to the Kingdom Tour—which offers a guided exploration of the park’s backstage areas and the famous Utilidor tunnels—has increased from $169 to $189, a $20 jump.

Over at EPCOT, guests who love the greenhouse-filled serenity of Living with the Land will notice that Behind the Seeds has gone from $39 to $49, up by $10.

Two of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s premium experiences have also seen similar changes:

  • Savor the Savanna now costs $209, up from $199.

  • Wild Africa Trek, one of the park’s most adventurous tours, has risen to $239, up from $229.

While these increases may seem small individually, they reflect Disney’s continued adjustments across the board as operational costs, staffing, and guest demand evolve.

How to Save on Disney’s Premium Experiences

Even with higher prices, there are still several ways to stretch your vacation budget and make these tours more attainable.

1. Book early: Prices are sometimes adjusted throughout the year, especially around peak seasons. Booking several months ahead can help you secure current rates and preferred time slots.

2. Visit during lower-demand months: Historically, January, early May, and mid-September offer smaller crowds and greater availability, sometimes even yielding special offers or package deals.

3. Use discounted Disney gift cards: Retailers like Target, Sam’s Club, and BJ’s Wholesale often sell Disney gift cards at a small discount (typically 5%), which can add up when used toward tours or park extras.

4. Choose experiences that offer the most value: The Behind the Seeds Tour remains one of Disney’s most affordable options, and many guests say it’s a hidden gem—perfect for anyone who enjoys learning about Disney’s approach to agriculture and sustainability.

Hidden Gems and Local Insights

Frequent visitors and locals say the price bumps don’t diminish the value of Disney’s special tours—especially those that offer something you can’t get anywhere else.

The Keys to the Kingdom Tour continues to be a fan-favorite for its access to rarely seen areas and fascinating park history. Meanwhile, Savor the Savanna combines exclusive views of Animal Kingdom’s savanna with a curated tasting menu and drinks—something many guests describe as both relaxing and unforgettable.

If you’re looking for a unique experience without the crowds, these tours can actually enhance your Disney trip, especially when paired with a slower park day or a resort staycation.

Why It Matters to Disney Fans

Price increases at Disney World are nothing new, but they often reflect a larger shift toward experience-based tourism. Fans are increasingly seeking quality over quantity—fewer days in the parks, but with more meaningful, personalized moments.

That’s exactly what Disney’s tours provide: storytelling, access, and attention to detail that go beyond rides and parades. While the price hikes might cause some hesitation, for many Disney enthusiasts, the opportunity to step behind the curtain remains worth it.

As Disney continues refining its offerings for a more tailored guest experience, these Enchanting Extras remind visitors that the “magic” is as much about discovery as it is about nostalgia.

Since first stepping inside the Magic Kingdom at nine years old, I knew I was destined to be a theme Park enthusiast. Although I consider myself a theme Park junkie, I still have much to learn and discover about Disney. Universal Orlando Resort has my heart; being an Annual Passholder means visiting my favorite places on Earth when possible! When I’m not writing about Disney, Universal, or entertainment news, you’ll find me cruising on my motorcycle, hiking throughout my local metro parks, or spending quality time with my girlfriend, family, or friends.

  1. My suggestion for those looking to save money is to STOP GOING! They charge a fortune for little return, it’sjust not worth it anymore. I used to go to the parks all the time, but now it is just crazy expensive just to go for 1 day. Disney has forgotten the people that helped make the company so big, it’s customers, and I for one will not give them another dime. The whole corporate environment at Disney & it’s subsidiaries has lost it’s way.

    1. I agree with you. Disney has raised prices, so normal middle class people can no longer afford a trip to the parks. I guess they can have the Trump family and all the MAGOTS come. I can tell you, I stand strong with Democracy and reject the Disney Trump ball lickers.

    2. This is how they deal with the crowd control. It’s too much. People stop going. It doesn’t hurt them. It only helps. I’m happy for it.

  2. I believe it’s not the President Trump price hikes on tariffs, but I think its Disney’s price hikes to fund their horrible movies.

  3. Corporate greed. That is why they keep raising prices. Bob Iger keeps wanting to get richer.

  4. Even websites like mcodisney.com now emphasize how these incremental service‑fee hikes further squeeze budgets, driving many long‑time fans to question whether a truly affordable Disney vacation is even possible anymore.

  5. Good on price increases. Keep doing it. It will weed out the trouble makers that you wonder how they can even afford a trip there.

    1. People like you would see it that way. Self-centered individuals who lack care for others. Everyone who can’t afford it are not troublemakers. In fact, troublemakers will still be there despite the price hikes. You enjoy the price hikes. There are plenty of other affordable options to explore.

  6. I think my days of Disney vacations are over. WAY too expensive & really not much of a discount on tickets for veterans. Busch Gardens still gives me 4 free veterans tickets every year. FLY NAVY!!!
