Disney World Parenting Debate: Kids Seen Playing in Dangerous Resort Area
A recent TikTok video has sparked a heated debate about parenting choices at Walt Disney World Resort, showing three children playing in a restricted area at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
The video, posted on July 2, 2025, by TikTok user @hannahheisdorf, captures the children climbing around near the Deluxe Disney Resort hotel’s iconic geyser and waterfall, both of which are part of a fenced-off area near the pool.

“Where are your parentsssss?” the TikToker asked.
The footage quickly gained traction, accumulating over 60,000 views, as viewers expressed concern about the children’s safety and the lack of intervention by Disney cast members. The video also raised questions about parenting while on vacation, with some commenters questioning why the parents allowed their children to play in such a dangerous area.
While many Disney Parks fans voiced their concerns about the safety risks associated with playing near an active geyser, others took to social media to share their own experiences with what they deemed inappropriate parenting at Disney parks.
“Was there a few months ago and parents were letting kids climb to the top of the waterfall and taking pictures,” said @hamiltonra99. “My jaw just dropped.”
“Girl children were bathing in the FOUNTAIN at the America pavilion at EPCOT,” @pmdupkicks wrote. “And the parents were smiling and taking videos of them frolicking. It was the craziest thing I’d ever seen at Disney.”
Some social media users highlighted the safety risks associated with the active geyser, with concerns about the water pressure potentially causing serious harm.
“Geysers have a ton of water pressure to be able to shoot water into a straight stream into the air,” said @lifewithyagirl. “If a child got hit in the face with that, they would get really hurt.”
“Omg that’s so dangerous if the geyser went off,” @southern.mom replied.
However, not all comments were critical of the parents. A few users defended the children’s actions, noting that such behavior might be common in other settings.
“Kids let kids this age run around alone all the time… not saying they should but I mean… at home in their neighborhood this would be a normal thing to do… play in a creek… we can’t be mad at kids for not understanding this,” said @k039574.
