Disney World Monorail Narration Adds a Vaping Warning
The new Disney World Monorail narration was reported on August 26, 2026, on the Express line connecting the TTC and Magic Kingdom. In addition to the new vaping warning, the narration now tells guests that “A Cast Member will be happy to assist,” replacing the gendered “host or hostess” language previously heard in the spiel.
It is a relatively subtle adjustment compared with some of the other changes guests have noticed around the Monorail this year, including a recent retro-inspired visual update to the Walt Disney World Monorail.
One element apparently has not changed: “ladies and gentlemen” remains in the Express Monorail narration. That detail is notable because Disney previously confirmed that the greeting had not been removed from this particular announcement, despite online claims suggesting otherwise, as Inside the Magic reported while examining the Monorail narration rumor earlier this year.
The New Warning Reinforces an Existing Disney World Rule
The addition of vaping to the audio does not appear to represent a new resort-wide prohibition. Walt Disney World’s official property rules already state that its theme parks, water parks, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex are smoke-free, and that tobacco, e-cigarettes, and other products producing vapor or smoke may be used only in designated outdoor smoking areas.
The new announcement therefore appears to make an existing expectation more explicit aboard the Monorail rather than introduce a newly announced vaping policy. Disney’s official Monorail information describes the system as three separate lines serving Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, select Disney Resort hotels, and the TTC.

For guests, nothing in the reported narration change indicates that routes, operating hours, boarding procedures, or access have changed because of the new audio. The immediate difference is what riders hear once they are aboard.
