Disney World Injury Report Confirms 2 Guest Hospitalizations at Popular Park Attractions

Disney World vacations are supposed to feel carefree. Guests spend months planning trips around ride reservations, dining bookings, fireworks shows, and resort stays, all expecting that magical Disney bubble experience. But even inside one of the most controlled theme park environments in the world, accidents can still happen.

According to a recent Florida state report that was also covered by AllEars, two guests were hospitalized after separate incidents at Walt Disney World during the first quarter of 2026.

The first incident happened at Magic Kingdom on February 2 when a 65-year-old woman reportedly fell while exiting Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. The guest suffered a pelvis injury after the fall.

For a lot of Disney fans, that attraction probably feels like one of the safest rides in the entire park. Prince Charming Regal Carrousel is a slow-moving Fantasyland classic that families with small children ride every single day. But incidents like this are a reminder that even simple attractions can become dangerous if a guest loses balance while boarding or exiting.

The carousel itself has a long history at Disney World. It originally opened with Magic Kingdom back in 1971, though the ride system dates all the way back to 1917 before Disney purchased it.

Then, just a couple of weeks later, another injury was reported at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

On February 17, a 40-year-old woman reportedly injured her shoulder while riding Kali River Rapids. According to the report, the guest also had a preexisting condition.

Unlike the carousel incident, Kali River Rapids is a much more aggressive attraction physically. The ride spins guests through rough rapids, sharp turns, drops, and large waves while water crashes into the raft from multiple directions.

A lot of guests think of it mainly as a water ride where they will probably get soaked. But the attraction can also throw riders around unexpectedly depending on how the raft rotates during the experience.

Disney does place warning signs outside the attraction advising guests about health concerns, motion intensity, and physical limitations. Still, rides affect everyone differently, especially after long park days spent walking in the Florida heat.

One important thing to remember is that these state reports only include incidents requiring at least 24 hours of hospitalization. Smaller injuries and minor incidents typically would not appear in the report.

With millions of guests visiting Disney World every year, the overall number of serious incidents remains relatively low. But stories like these still tend to grab attention because Disney parks are often viewed as extremely controlled and carefully managed environments.

At the same time, theme parks naturally involve constant movement. Guests rush to Lightning Lane return windows, step on moving ride platforms, climb in and out of vehicles, and spend hours navigating crowded parks. Fatigue alone can sometimes contribute to accidents.

That is why Disney Cast Members consistently remind guests to hold handrails, watch their step, and follow all ride instructions carefully, even on attractions that appear calm or family-friendly.

For now, both Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and Kali River Rapids continue operating normally following the incidents. But the new report still serves as another reminder that guests should stay alert throughout their Disney vacation, no matter how relaxing an attraction may seem.
