Black Friday Mayhem: Violent Incident Alert in Magic Kingdom Resort Area
A police alert sent shockwaves through the Magic Kingdom resort area on Black Friday. As crowds surged during Thanksgiving week at Walt Disney World, law enforcement responded to a violent incident at a Deluxe Disney Resort hotel.
Holiday Crowds Push Walt Disney World Resort to Its Limits
Thanksgiving week is one of the most demanding stretches of the year for Walt Disney World Resort. Families take advantage of time off work and school to travel, filling Disney Resort hotels to capacity and packing the theme parks from morning to night.

This year was no exception. In addition to the regular holiday rush, major seasonal offerings such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights boosted attendance at Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Black Friday also marked the opening day of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, drawing tens of thousands more visitors into the resort.
In this kind of environment, especially considering the cost of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation in 2025, even the most minor disagreements can escalate quickly.
Police Alert Issued After Fight at Deluxe Disney World Hotel

The first publicly available information about Friday’s fight came from @WDWActiveCrime on X (formerly Twitter), a social media account known for scanning and sharing real-time police activity around Walt Disney World Resort. Shortly after 2:00 p.m., the account reported that deputies were responding to a “verbal fight” at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Disney Security and Local Deputies Respond

Walt Disney World Resort relies on a mix of Disney security teams and Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies to address disturbances across its property. Deputies stationed at the resort regularly assist with guest altercations, medical calls, and emergencies inside the theme parks and hotels.
Guests who become disruptive or violate property rules may receive a trespass notice, which can bar them from returning to Walt Disney World Resort for a set period—or permanently. At this time, it is unknown whether such a notice was issued following Friday’s confrontation.
