Disney Springs Attraction Removed From Walt Disney World
A popular photo opportunity at Disney Springs has been permanently removed from Walt Disney World Resort, months after one guest documented misuse of the oversized sculpture. The “I Love Disney Springs” heart hands statue, which stood inside the Marketplace Co-Op, has vanished, leaving only empty floor space where families once posed for vacation photos.
November Photos Show Guest Abuse

X (formerly known as Twitter) user @magiccitymayhem shared photographs in November 2025 showing a man sitting on the “I Love Disney Springs” photo opportunity at Marketplace Co-Op. The social media user criticized the guest for monopolizing the sculpture and preventing other families from using it for its intended purpose—taking photographs.
“Dear park people, don’t sit on photo-ops,” @magiccitymayhem wrote alongside the images.

When another Disney Parks fan questioned whether the man might be waiting for a shopping companion, @magiccitymayhem clarified that his travel partner was positioned just steps away, also blocking access to a walkway.

“His travel companion was in a scooter to their right block half of the only path to get to the rest of the co-op due to the other side being a queue 😅,” the Disney Park guest recalled.

The November incident captured on social media represented just one documented example of guests treating the photo opportunity as seating rather than a quick photo backdrop. The behavior prevented other Walt Disney World Resort visitors from accessing the sculpture for pictures, creating frustration among guests waiting for their turn.
January Reveals Complete Removal

Months after documenting the misuse, @magiccitymayhem returned to Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs and discovered the heart hands statue had completely disappeared. The guest reported the removal on January 13. Notably, the change occurred just weeks after Disney also eliminated the D-Tech customization kiosk from the same merchandise location.
“This photo op has been removed and all the ropes and stands in front of the Drop Shop have been taken away. Feels like they want you to shop there now,” @magiccitymayhem posted.

The post included three photographs showing the empty space where the “I Love Disney Springs” sculpture previously stood. No signage indicated whether the removal was temporary or permanent. Walt Disney World Resort provided no explanation for why the photo opportunity vanished.
Permanent or Temporary Change at Disney Springs?

Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t issued a statement addressing the removal of the photo opportunity from the Marketplace Co-Op. The silence leaves unanswered questions about whether the heart-shaped statue will return after refurbishment, be replaced with a different photo opportunity, or remain permanently gone from Disney Springs.
