Spring break is beginning, and Walt Disney World Resort is feeling the pressure as massive crowds flood the parks. With guests packed shoulder to shoulder and wait times surging, one Disney Park fan captured the madness in a shocking video.
Disney World Overrun by Spring Break Crowds
Though Easter (April 20) is still weeks away, spring break has already begun for many students, and families are seizing the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World Resort. As expected, Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park are bursting at the seams as guests pour into the parks.
Earlier this month, Disney Dining reported skyrocketing Lightning Lane prices as Disney prepared for the inevitable wave of spring break crowds. Now, that wave has hit full force.
This week, @live.laugh.lem documented the chaos in a video on TikTok.
Spring break is in FULL SWING in Walt Disney World!
@live.laugh.lem Spring break is in FULL SWING in Walt Disney World! #springbreak #disneycrowds #magickingdom #disneynews #disneyworld
The footage showcases a ferryboat packed to capacity on its way to Magic Kingdom Park and an overwhelming crowd at the entrance gates. Inside the park, the guest rode the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover and recorded the staggering length of the TRON Lightcycle / Run queue, which stretched all the way to Tomorrowland Speedway.
“I can’t even see the end,” they remarked.
They also captured the growing queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which recently moved from Virtual Queue to standby. The footage suggests guests were looking at over an hour-long wait.
The TikToker didn’t film at EPCOT, but they confirmed the International Flower & Garden Festival was just as packed.
“It was crazy today at EPCOT,” they added.
Guests React to the Overcrowding
Some Disney Parks fans were horrified by the sheer number of people, insisting they would have left rather than brave the crowds.
“This makes me so anxious,” @ktgoodtimes commented.
“I would just go home,” said @neerlinlaya.
However, others pushed back against the claim that Walt Disney World Resort was unmanageable, arguing that it’s still possible to enjoy the parks if you know what you’re doing.
“Was there yesterday – rode every ride and the longest wait was 15 mins,” @superflyrachel wrote. “It was a perfect Disney day.”
“We went Saturday 3/1 and it was incredible,” @winterswhitewolf added. “Hit IOA, Epcot, and MK. Veloci, Hagrid’s, Tron, guardians, and Tiana were all accomplished standby!”
When is the worst time to visit Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park? Share your thoughts with Disney Dining in the comments.
Wish this site would make up its mind.
Is Disney losing guests and deserted?
Or is it overcrowded and terrible for that reason?
@winterswhitewolf You can’t hit IOA, Velici and Hagrid’s at WDW.
