Beginning May 4, 2026, Extended Evening Hours return to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
These extra hours were previously scheduled at EPCOT, but Disney’s calendar now shows the shift. The current calendar runs through May 4, so future dates remain to be seen, but the confirmation alone sparked excitement.
At Animal Kingdom, the extended hours will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. That’s earlier than other parks. The reasoning is straightforward: the animals’ well-being comes first. Disney balances guest access with wildlife safety, which limits how late the park can operate.

When you combine those advantages with extended nighttime access at Animal Kingdom, the value discussion changes—especially for Deluxe-level guests.
