The Promenade fine art gallery at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn will soon see its final days. According to Disney World cast members, the gallery is scheduled to close permanently on October 19. While the future of the space has not yet been revealed, reports note that Promenade’s art and merchandise will still be available elsewhere on the property, though the exact location has not been confirmed.
Promenade’s departure is part of a larger wave of changes at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Earlier this year, Jellyrolls closed its doors at the BoardWalk, and other Deluxe Resorts—including Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Contemporary Resort—are also undergoing extensive renovations aimed at refreshing the guest experience.
Promenade Fine Art Galleries will continue operating at two other locations in Florida: one at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and another in St. Petersburg outside of Walt Disney World Resort.
Opened in 1996, Disney’s BoardWalk Resort is themed after turn-of-the-century Atlantic City. It is made up of the BoardWalk Inn and BoardWalk Villas, set along Crescent Lake and within walking distance of both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests can also access the resort by boat or the Disney Skyliner, though the Skyliner will be closed for its annual maintenance from January 25–31, 2026.
The lively boardwalk offers a mix of dining, shopping, and entertainment. Guests can enjoy a variety of options, including Flying Fish, Trattoria al Forno, casual pizza by the slice, or evening fun at Atlantic Dance Hall. A more recent addition, the Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, brings full-service dining and desserts in a whimsical setting.
Guests visiting this fall should be aware that the Promenade Fine Art Gallery will not be part of the holiday season experience.
