Discounts Galore: Disney World Is Begging Travelers To Come This Christmas

Walt Disney World Resort has been busy announcing its plans for the 2025 Christmas season, but something seems off. While the Central Florida vacation destination is bringing back all the popular holiday offerings, including Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, there’s one unusual detail: Disney is offering some steep discounts that suggest they’re trying hard to entice visitors this year.

First, the good news. All of the major holiday events are returning for 2025, so you can once again enjoy the sights and sounds of the season, from the nighttime parties to the daytime holiday magic in the four theme parks. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights aren’t included in the price of regular theme park tickets, and they now come at a higher cost. The price of tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party increased by up to $10 per guest, while tickets for Disney Jollywood Nights went up by as much as $20 per guest.

However, in an unexpected move, Walt Disney World Resort also announced a series of holiday discounts for 2025. Annual Passholders can enjoy discounts of up to 30% on Disney Resort hotel stays, while other guests can save up to 20% on Disney Resort hotel stays and receive a $100 shopping and dining card.

But there’s a bigger question looming: Will these discounts be enough to bring the crowds to Walt Disney World this Christmas? Historically, the holiday season is one of the busiest times of year at the Central Florida Disney parks. However, the unprecedented discounts may indicate that Disney is preparing for a quieter season than usual. If these discounts don’t work, we could see some of the lowest holiday crowd levels at Walt Disney World Resort in years.

Early November and early December, before and after the Thanksgiving holiday, are traditionally slower periods at Walt Disney World Resort. But with this year’s pricing changes and discounts, 2025 may very well have the most unpredictable holiday crowds yet.
