Officers arrived at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort shortly past 7:30 p.m. on December 30 after receiving the missing person report. X (formerly known as Twitter) account @WDWActiveCrime reported the police scanner activity:

Walt Disney World Resort’s emergency dispatch assigns calls to general hotel addresses rather than specific locations, which means the Google Maps coordinates shown may not match the precise location of the missing person report site.

The search area presented significant challenges. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is connected directly to Disney’s Pop Century Resort, creating a sprawling area of interest. Transportation options compound the complexity—the Disney Skyliner links to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort, while buses reach Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Magic Kingdom Park, and Disney Springs.

However, authorities ultimately located the individual. Scanner monitoring revealed the call’s closure and status change to “citizen assist,” confirming police helped reconnect the guest with their companions.

Call was closed and changed to Citizen Assist. Suggests that the person is no longer missing.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort faced a second law enforcement situation on Tuesday evening. Disney security personnel contacted the police at 8:14 p.m. regarding a trespasser at the Value Resort hotel. Scanner activity temporarily showed “standby,” possibly indicating that Disney cast members were deliberating whether to pursue trespass action against the individual. The call ultimately concluded as a trespassing incident.

The separate tracking of both incidents suggests that they weren’t related, despite their temporal proximity. Walt Disney World Resort trespassing incidents involve either previously banned individuals returning to the property or guests receiving new trespass notices from Disney security for violating rules or exhibiting aggressive behavior.
