A 68-year-old man was extradited to the Orange County jail for arrest and charged with multiple felonies regarding sexual battery that allegedly occurred during numerous Walt Disney World Resort vacations. The now-adult victim was younger than 12 at the time of the abuse.
According to FOX35 Orlando, Michael Geary of Arlington, Virginia, was arrested on a warrant and brought to Central Florida in February. He was charged with multiple felonies, including sexual battery on a child under 12 and lewd or lascivious molestation.

The now 32-year-old victim came forward on January 2, 2024, telling the Orange County Sheriff’s Office that Geary abused her “more times than she could count” between the ages of 10 and 12. She alleged the assaults took place on “multiple occasions” at her Virginia home and during vacations to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Central Florida incidents reportedly occurred between 2001 and 2003 at an unidentified Disney Resort hotel, Disney’s Old Key West Resort, and the Hard Rock Hotel Orlando. The victim was between ages 10 and 12 at the time, while Geary was roughly 47.
Investigators and the victim completed two recorded phone calls with Geary in which he reportedly admitted doing an act he called “hugging.” He allegedly denied remembering specific incidents but confirmed that the victim “was not a liar” and that she was “the only child he ever interacted with or had sexual contact with.”
According to the affidavit, Geary later insisted he didn’t remember the incidents specified on the phone call. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is only pursuing charges on specific assaults that took place in Central Florida, not at the victim’s home in Virginia.
Geary’s will appear in court for arraignment on July 10. His lawyers have not publicly stated how he would plead to the charges. If convicted, Geary could face the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole.
