Disney Starts Playing Safety Warnings Along Main Street, U.S.A.
On a recent evening at Disneyland Paris, guests waiting for the park’s nighttime fireworks heard something new before the show began.
Just moments before Disney Tales of Magic, a spoken announcement played across Central Plaza, reminding visitors that climbing on stages and decorative installations is prohibited. The warning marks a more explicit effort by the resort to address guest behavior during crowded nighttime entertainment.
🔊 A few weeks ago, a new announcement was added before Disney Tales of Magic, reminding visitors that it is forbidden to climb on the stages and decorative installations of Central Plaza.

Disneyland Paris has faced recurring issues around restricted areas for years, particularly during fireworks and parades. Central Plaza, located in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, serves as both a performance space and a primary viewing area, making it a frequent point of congestion.
As attendance has increased during peak seasons, guests have repeatedly climbed structures or crossed barriers in search of better views. Those actions have raised safety concerns and created operational challenges during live shows.
The new announcement is the resort’s most visible response so far.
A Warning Before the Fireworks
The message now plays over the park’s audio system shortly before Disney Tales of Magic begins. It addresses guest conduct directly and ties it to the operation of the show.
“Dear friends, for your safety and to ensure the quality of the show, we kindly ask you not to step onto the Central Plaza stages or decorative installations. These elements are an integral part of the show set design and are not intended to support guests.”
The announcement continues by outlining potential consequences if the rule is ignored.

“If this rule is not respected, we may unfortunately be forced to turn off certain lights or special effects, which would deprive all guests of part of the show’s magic.”
The warning has circulated online after being recorded by visitors and shared by Disney-focused social media accounts. Its inclusion suggests the issue has persisted despite existing barriers, signage, and cast member enforcement.
Rather than intervening on a case-by-case basis, the resort is now delivering the message to the entire audience at once, immediately before the show begins.
Ongoing Crowd Issues at Disneyland Paris
Guest behavior around restricted areas has been an ongoing issue at Disneyland Paris, particularly during high-attendance nighttime events. Incidents have included guests climbing structures and entering fenced-off zones near Central Plaza.

Problems have also occurred outside of fireworks. In one widely shared incident, visitors removed blue gravel from a restricted area and threw it into a nearby water feature, raising concerns about damage and safety.
Central Plaza contains lighting, projection, and special-effects infrastructure used during nighttime shows. When guests enter these areas, certain effects may need to be disabled to prevent accidents.
The announcement’s reference to turning off lights or special effects reflects those safety protocols. Any disruption can affect visibility and timing during a live performance.
