Disney World Guests Now Offered In-Room Medical Care

You’ve spent months planning your dream Disney vacation. The park tickets are booked, your family is packed, and you’ve finally arrived at your Disney Resort hotel. Then it happens—someone gets sick.

It’s the scenario every family dreads: a fever, a cough, or a random injury threatens to put the brakes on your vacation. But starting this summer, guests at Walt Disney World® Resort have a new solution that might change everything about how vacation mishaps are handled.

What’s behind this new shift in care—and what does it mean for future guests?

In-Room Health Care Has Arrived at Disney Resort Hotels

As of June 16, 2025, AdventHealth, the official health care provider for Walt Disney World® Resort, has rolled out a brand-new service that allows guests to receive in-room medical care right from the comfort of their hotel rooms. That means no more scrambling to find urgent care, no need to leave your hotel, and no more worrying about navigating Orlando traffic with a sick child.

The new offering is available daily between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., and it’s designed to treat non-emergency health issues, including colds, allergic reactions, minor injuries, and more.

Appointments can be made by calling (407) 939-7480 or by using the My Disney Experience app, which now links directly to AdventHealth’s expanded guest services. Providers generally arrive within two hours of scheduling, and in many cases, they’re able to offer or arrange on-site medication delivery through the AdventHealth Pharmacy team.

More Than Just a Convenience—A Game Changer for Guests

This isn’t the first time AdventHealth has provided care for Disney guests, but the addition of in-room visits takes guest services to a new level. Building on its World of Wellness initiative, AdventHealth already offers a full range of support, including:

  • A dedicated care concierge

  • Telehealth visits

  • Medical equipment delivery

  • Prescription delivery

  • Access to nearby urgent and emergency care centers

The in-room care option, however, removes the hassle of arranging transportation or interrupting a vacation schedule. It’s a solution tailor-made for families with kids, guests with chronic conditions, or anyone who simply needs care quickly and discreetly.

What This Means for the Future of Disney Vacations

This new health service reflects a larger trend in travel: combining hospitality and healthcare to improve guest experiences. As vacationers grow more health-conscious—and as unexpected illnesses remain a concern—destination resorts like Disney are responding by meeting needs before they become problems.

This is especially important for families traveling with small children, guests with limited mobility, or those visiting from abroad who may not know how to navigate the U.S. healthcare system. It’s about providing peace of mind, not just entertainment.

In an environment where every moment counts, this update allows guests to handle minor illnesses quickly so they can get back to doing what they came for—making memories.

How To Get Help During Your Stay at Disney World

If you or a family member feel unwell while staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you now have direct access to licensed medical care without leaving your room. Guests can:

  • Call (407) 939-7480 to schedule a visit

  • Use the My Disney Experience app to connect with AdventHealth services

A medical provider typically arrives within two hours, and if medication is needed, it can be dispensed or delivered right to your room.

Since first stepping inside the Magic Kingdom at nine years old, I knew I was destined to be a theme Park enthusiast. Although I consider myself a theme Park junkie, I still have much to learn and discover about Disney. Universal Orlando Resort has my heart; being an Annual Passholder means visiting my favorite places on Earth when possible! When I’m not writing about Disney, Universal, or entertainment news, you’ll find me cruising on my motorcycle, hiking throughout my local metro parks, or spending quality time with my girlfriend, family, or friends.
