Disney Removes Two Countries from EPCOT, Discontinuing Popular Offerings
EPCOT has long been one of Disney’s most iconic theme parks, initially envisioned by Walt Disney as a futuristic city highlighting cutting-edge technologies.
Over time, however, the park evolved into a unique blend of innovation and global culture. One of its major draws is the World Showcase, an expansive area where guests can experience the traditions, food, and architecture of countries from all over the world. EPCOT’s World Showcase was created to help guests appreciate and learn about diverse cultures—a vision that Walt Disney had for creating a cultural hub for people to come together and explore global wonders.
A Global Tour Without Leaving EPCOT
The World Showcase features 11 country pavilions, each meticulously designed to reflect the spirit of the represented country. These pavilions include: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, the United States, Japan, Morocco, France, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Each pavilion is a tribute to its country’s distinctive culture, architecture, and cuisine. For example, the Mexican pavilion features a traditional pyramid and an immersive boat ride that introduces visitors to Mexico’s vibrant culture. The Japan pavilion, on the other hand, is known for its tranquil gardens, detailed Japanese architecture, and authentic food offerings. Every pavilion offers something unique, from cultural exhibits to live entertainment and, of course, food and beverages that truly transport guests to another part of the world.
Club Cool: A Global Soda Experience
Another beloved feature of EPCOT is Club Cool, a Coca-Cola-sponsored attraction where visitors can sample sodas from all over the globe—absolutely free! Originally located in the Innoventions area, Club Cool has become a fan favorite for the opportunity to taste unique beverages that are not available in the U.S. Some of the most famous drinks include Beverly, an intensely bitter soda from Italy, and Fanta Pineapple from the Philippines, which is a sweet tropical flavor. Club Cool offers guests a fun and quirky way to cool off while exploring the diverse soda offerings from around the world. And with flavors that change periodically, there’s always something new to try, making it a refreshing and playful experience during your visit to EPCOT.
Missing Flavors at Club Cool
Recently, however, there has been a noticeable change at Club Cool. The Philippines’ Royal Wattamelon flavor is now missing from the drink machines, adding to the absence of China’s Suan Mei Tang (Sour Plum Tea) from earlier in February. Guests who visit the club are now greeted with dispensers covered in black stickers reading “Please Try Another Flavor,” indicating that these drinks are temporarily unavailable. Royal Wattamelon, known for its sparkling and sour watermelon taste, was a crowd favorite, while Suan Mei Tang, a tart beverage made from plums, was also widely enjoyed by those looking for a more unusual flavor.
These missing flavors have left many wondering about the reasons behind the unavailability of certain sodas. Disney has not provided any details on whether these drinks will return in the future or if new flavors will be introduced to take their place. This is not the first time Club Cool has had missing drinks; back in April 2023, the only soda available for sampling was the infamous Beverly. Despite these fluctuations, many visitors still appreciate the wide variety of drinks that remain, including Beverly from Italy, Bon Bon Anglais from Madagascar, Country Club Merengue from the Dominican Republic, Minute Maid Joy Apple Lychee from Korea, Sprite Cucumber from Russia, and Viva Raspberry from Moldova.

New Changes and Future Updates
In recent updates, Club Cool made the switch from paper tasting cups to clear plastic ones. Additionally, the attraction relocated to a new building in 2021, right next to the Creations Shop, providing an updated and sleek space for guests to experience the global flavors. The location also offers a variety of Coca-Cola-themed merchandise, perfect for those wanting to take a piece of their Club Cool experience home.
Although some beverages have been temporarily unavailable, Club Cool remains a beloved and nostalgic part of EPCOT, offering an interactive and refreshing way to experience flavors from around the world. Whether or not the missing drinks return, guests can still enjoy a unique and fun experience while exploring the tastes of the world at EPCOT.
