Disney Parks Blog Releases Best Bites List for October 2017

Disney Parks Blog released a great list that is sure to excite all of the Disney foodies out there.  The list is a summary of some of the great snacks and food items that you can currently enjoy around Walt Disney World in October 2017.  There is a great mix of different items are featured.  This, of course, isn’t even a dent in the complete list of all the delicious food at Walt Disney World, but a great snapshot of some of the unique offerings that you must try!

The first takes us over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to Flame Tree Barbecue.  The location has a fantastic Baked Mac and Cheese with Pulled Pork.  The offering is also topped with coleslaw and onion rings.  Animal Kingdom is now also the home of the second location to serve the Kosher Pickle (pictured below).  You will find it over at the Harambe Fruit Market in the Africa area.  The Kosher Pickle is also found at Liberty Square Market within Magic Kingdom Park.

The Fantasyland area of the Magic Kingdom has a lot of fantastic offerings.  Pinocchio Village Haus is offering a pizza of the month.  The pizza for October is the BBQ Chicken Pizza.  It will only be available until the end of October, so you better get it while you can! Gaston’s Tavern is only a short walk away from Pinocchio’s and is now offering a new Cheese Platter that includes a mix of various fruits and cheeses.  Still within Fantasyland, you can head to Prince Eric’s Village Market and try out the pretzel served with beer cheese sauce!

Back up to the Main Street, USA area of the Magic Kingdom, you will find the iconic location, Casey’s Corner.  The hot dog of the month is the Octoberfest Dog (pictured below).  This dog includes a bratwurst on a pretzel roll that is topped with caramelized onions and a whole grain mustard.  This special hot dog is only available until the end of October!

If you need a great start to your day before hitting the parks then head over to Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.  You will find a new breakfast item on the menu, the Seven Seas Samoan (pictured below).  This new offering includes poached eggs covered with a citrus Hollandaise sauce that is on top of a bed of pulled pork and turkey hash.

When you need a delicious drink to cool down, then you have to check out the Wine Slushies (pictured below) at Amorette’s Patisserie.  They come in two different flavors, Strawberry Shiraz and Mango Moscato.  You could also walk on the wild side and have the flavored mixed together for your own special creation!

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
