Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort are taking Mobile Ordering to the next level with a new app feature designed to enhance the guest experience. The live-tracking update, exclusive to iPhone users, promises to make dining more convenient and streamlined for parkgoers.
What Is Mobile Ordering?
Mobile Ordering has become an essential tool for guests at Disney Parks. Initially tested at select Quick Service locations, the feature quickly gained popularity, prompting Disney to expand it across dozens of restaurants. From Magic Kingdom Park to Disneyland Park, Mobile Ordering allows guests to skip the lines and customize their meals in advance.
Now, Disney is introducing a new layer of functionality: live-tracking. According to theme park journalist Scott Gustin (@scottgustin) on X (formerly Twitter), both the Disneyland Resort app and the My Disney Experience app are rolling out support for Apple’s Live Activities feature, enabling guests to track their Mobile Orders in real-time:
NEW: Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort have added a new feature on iOS devices that will allow you to track your mobile order status without opening the app. The update started rolling out today. It will also let you select “I’m Here” from the Live Activities display.

How the New Disney App Feature Works
The live-tracking feature integrates seamlessly with iOS devices. Guests with iPhones updated to iOS 16.1 or later can now see their Mobile Order details directly on their lock screen or in Dynamic Island. The display includes the order number, pickup location, and real-time order status. Additionally, Disney Park guests can click the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” button from the lock screen when arriving at the restaurant.
Dynamic Island functionality is exclusive to iPhone 14 Pro models and newer devices, such as iPhone 15 and iPhone 16. Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort guests unable to access the feature should update their apps to the latest version.
A Limited Rollout
While this feature is an exciting development, it’s important to note that live-tracking is currently available at select Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort locations. Disney said the feature will slowly roll out across the theme parks and Resort hotels.
