Disney Makes Several Unannounced Changes to Parade, Surprising Guests
Disney has quietly made changes to one of its Disneyland Paris parades, updating both the soundtrack and several floats during a scheduled hiatus.
The revisions were not announced in advance and were only confirmed once the parade returned to operation. The updates affect A Million Splashes of Colour, which resumed performances today following its holiday break.

Changes of this scale are unusual for an existing Disney parade, which typically remains unchanged until it is retired or replaced.
A Million Splashes of Colour Returns With Updated Music and Floats
A Million Splashes of Colour returned to Disneyland Paris today with a revised soundtrack and multiple visual updates.
According to DLP Report, the parade — which “takes guests on a journey through time to discover the stories of Disney Animation and Pixar” — has added new props to existing floats.
Disney also expanded the parade from three floats to four. A new mini float has been added specifically for Mickey Mouse.

Previously, Mickey appeared as part of shared float sections. The new float gives the character a dedicated presence within the parade.
The parade continues to follow a nontraditional format. After traveling down Main Street, U.S.A., it stops in the Central Plaza in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
At that point, characters including Mickey Mouse, Timon, Joy, and Mirabel exit their floats and perform choreographed routines on small stages positioned around the hub.
The parade’s soundtrack has also been reworked. DLP Report stated that the updated music is now “less chaotic” than the previous version.

Disney has not issued an official statement detailing the changes or explaining the decision to revise the parade.
Fan Reaction and Disneyland Paris’ Parade Lineup
A Million Splashes of Colour polarized Disney park guests when it debuted. While the parade introduced a colorful, paint-inspired aesthetic, some guests criticized the execution and finish of the floats.
That criticism resurfaced earlier this year when Disneyland Paris confirmed the parade would return for the 2025 season.
“Chat wait does this mean we are getting the s****y decorations back for a 3rd year,” wrote one X user. “All that time since last edition and they still didn’t manage to finish painting the floats,” another joked.

The updated version suggests Disney made adjustments during the parade’s downtime rather than removing it from the entertainment lineup.
Parades remain a key part of Disneyland Paris’ daytime entertainment. The park currently operates multiple procession-style shows.
Alongside A Million Splashes of Colour, Disneyland Paris also presents Disney Stars on Parade. That parade features floats inspired by Finding Nemo (2003), Sleeping Beauty (1959), and The Lion King (1994).
Disney Stars on Parade follows a traditional continuous route through the park and does not pause for staged performances.
