One of the most beloved spectral residents of the Haunted Mansion is venturing beyond the attraction’s walls for the first time. Here’s what Southern California Disney Parks fans need to know about the occasion.
A Ghost on the Move
Disneyland Resort announced on July 16 that a Haunted Mansion Hatbox Ghost popcorn bucket is headed to locations across both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park beginning August 13 — one day ahead of the D23 Expo’s opening at the Anaheim Convention Center. The reveal came as part of a broader food and beverage announcement from @disneyeats on Instagram:

Where To Find the Haunted Mansion Popcorn Bucket
Starting August 13, the Haunted Mansion Hatbox Ghost popcorn bucket will be available at Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree and Harbour Galley in Disneyland Park, as well as at select popcorn carts throughout both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. The item is being offered for a limited time while supplies last — and given how quickly Haunted Mansion collectibles tend to move, supplies are unlikely to last long once the D23 Expo crowd descends on Anaheim that weekend.
Mobile ordering availability hasn’t been confirmed. For anyone serious about securing one, showing up early on August 13 is encouraged.
The rest of the D23 Day food and beverage lineup includes the Sorcerer Apprentice Mickey Cake Pop, the Family Gold Ube Cheesecake, the Berry Bliss & Choco Crunch Duo, and specialty beverages, all available at various Downtown Disney and theme park locations between August 1 and August 16.
