Disney Guest Assaulted After Man’s Bathroom Dash, Victim Sent to Hospital

Walt Disney World isn’t always the picture-perfect, family-friendly escape we imagine—sometimes, it’s a chaotic cocktail of long lines, high emotions, and yes… public confrontations. On September 27, an unusual—and frankly dramatic—incident at the exit of Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom proved just how quickly Disney magic can turn into real-life mayhem.

Rushing for Relief

Faraz Syed, a 38-year-old from Oakland, Michigan, found himself in hot water—literally and figuratively—after allegedly colliding with another guest while rushing to the restroom. The incident, first reported by WDWNT, ended with Syed facing misdemeanor battery charges and a visit from local law enforcement.

According to reports, Syed was hurrying out of the ride, but things went sideways fast. The unnamed victim claims he was waiting in the line to exit Space Mountain when Syed attempted to push past him. “You can wait in line like everybody else,” the victim reportedly told Syed. Instead of slowing down, witnesses say Syed charged at the guest full force, shoving him into a railing and wall along the ride’s exit corridor.

The impact was serious enough that the victim, who had previously undergone back surgery, required hospitalization. His fiancé confirmed that she heard Syed announce he needed a bathroom urgently, and that the victim had politely suggested he wait—but Syed apparently wasn’t having it, charging with his shoulder in what witnesses described as “full-speed aggression.”

Conflicting Accounts & Arrest

When questioned by law enforcement, Syed gave a series of conflicting statements. Initially, he denied any contact with the other guest. Later, he said his shoulder “may have brushed” the victim. These contradictions were enough for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to establish probable cause for battery, and Syed was promptly taken into custody.

This incident underscores how quickly a seemingly minor park situation can spiral. Disney’s Cast Members and security staff are trained to respond to emergencies, but in crowded high-energy areas like Space Mountain, human tempers—and accidents—can flare.

Not Your Average Disney Drama

Disney has long been a backdrop for extraordinary stories, but not all of them involve princesses or fireworks. This isn’t the first time guests have clashed in the parks. Earlier in 2025, a brawl broke out at Disney Springs over a shopping dispute, and another altercation went viral at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Even bathroom-related incidents aren’t new to Disney headlines. This summer, a 31-year-old man from Washington D.C. was arrested for urinating in public at Disney Springs. Though charges weren’t filed due to lack of video evidence, the man was banned from Disney property indefinitely. And in 2024, an 80-year-old guest with prostate issues received a trespass warning after a similar incident near Magic Kingdom’s Transportation & Ticket Center.

Disney Security: Ready but Overwhelmed?

Disney World employs a massive security apparatus, including trained Cast Members, on-site law enforcement, and rapid-response teams. Still, even this legendary security force can’t prevent every accident or altercation—especially when human impatience and bodily urgency collide.

In this case, the combination of a crowded exit, a guest in distress, and an unexpected confrontation turned a routine ride exit into a scene of chaos. Law enforcement and witnesses agree that the situation escalated in seconds.

Lessons in Theme Park Etiquette

This story is a reminder that Disney magic doesn’t automatically protect guests from human behavior. Patience, awareness, and a sense of courtesy go a long way in preventing accidents—and potential arrests.

For theme park enthusiasts, it’s also a lesson in how seriously Disney takes incidents involving guest safety. Even when no video evidence exists, staff reports and witness statements can lead to arrests, charges, and park bans.

The Aftermath

Syed is currently facing misdemeanor battery charges and could be looking at a legal battle ahead. The victim is recovering from his injuries. Meanwhile, Disney fans continue to weigh in online, dissecting the situation and debating whether rushing for a bathroom justifies a full-force collision.

Magic Kingdom remains one of the world’s most beloved theme parks, but the Space Mountain incident proves that even in the happiest place on Earth, tempers can flare, accidents can happen, and yes… someone can get arrested for a bathroom dash. It’s a dramatic reminder that Disney’s magic isn’t always about fairy tales—it can also be about human unpredictability, consequences, and the strange, sometimes messy, reality behind the castle walls.

  1. People are extremely rude at the exit to this ride. Civilized people know you stay on the right if you are moving slowly to let others pass. Not here, ever. It is impossible to get through without some party taking a casual stroll. I’m fully with Syed and guarantee the person making the accusation is lying. Shame on Disney.
