Disney Cruise Line’s New York Return Comes With a Catch for 2027 Guests
Disney Cruise Line is bringing one of its newest ships to New York City, and travelers in the Northeast will have several different ways to sail when it arrives.

Beginning in September 2027, the Disney Wish will operate a limited series of cruises from New York. The schedule includes seven itineraries stretching into early November, with destinations ranging from Bermuda to Canada and New England.
It will be Disney Cruise Line’s first time sailing from New York since 2023. Even more notably, it will mark the first time the Disney Wish has operated from the city.
Disney Cruise Line Returns After Four Years
New York hasn’t been a regular home port for Disney Cruise Line in recent years.
Disney last sailed from the city in fall 2023, when the Disney Dream operated cruises to Bermuda and Eastern Canada. The cruise line subsequently focused on other ports, including its major Florida operations.
By fall 2027, that absence will finally end.

The Disney Wish will arrive with a schedule that begins September 29. While Disney isn’t establishing a year-round New York operation, the lineup gives travelers several weeks to choose from.
That’s particularly useful for Disney fans throughout the Northeast. Instead of traveling to Florida before boarding a Disney ship, many guests will have the opportunity to begin their vacation much closer to home.
Bermuda Starts the New York Season
The first voyage leaves New York on September 29 for a four-night trip to Bermuda.
The Disney Wish will spend two days at King’s Wharf before returning to New York on October 3. Current starting prices range from $4,222 for an inside stateroom to $8,934 for concierge accommodations.
Disney will then completely change course.
On October 3, the Wish begins a five-night Canada and New England itinerary featuring stops in Saint John, New Brunswick, and Boston. That cruise returns to New York on October 8 and is scheduled to feature Halloween on the High Seas.
From there, Disney combines the two regions.
A six-night cruise departing October 8 will visit both King’s Wharf and Halifax, Nova Scotia. It returns to New York on October 14.
More Bermuda Cruises Arrive in October
Disney will spend the middle of October concentrating on Bermuda.
Two five-night cruises are scheduled to depart on October 14 and October 19. Both visit King’s Wharf before returning to New York, and both are part of Disney’s Halloween on the High Seas lineup.
Guests looking for a longer fall vacation will have another option beginning October 24.

The Disney Wish will depart on a seven-night Canada cruise visiting Charlottetown, Sydney, and Halifax. The ship returns to New York on October 31.
It’s the longest round-trip sailing Disney has planned during its New York run.
Disney Wish Will Eventually Leave New York for San Juan
Disney’s final New York departure will work differently from everything before it.
On October 31, the Disney Wish begins a five-night, one-way cruise that ultimately ends in San Juan on November 5.
The ship will visit King’s Wharf during the trip, but passengers won’t finish their vacation back in New York.
Interestingly, this final voyage also carries the lowest listed starting price of the New York schedule. Inside staterooms begin at $3,771, while concierge accommodations start at $8,826.
The one-way cruise effectively brings the Disney Wish’s brief New York stay to an end.
Disney’s return may only last a matter of weeks, but it represents another example of how the cruise line’s growing fleet is giving the company more flexibility.
For travelers who have been waiting to sail Disney Cruise Line from New York again, the wait now has an end date. And when Disney finally returns in September 2027, it won’t be with the Disney Dream.
For the first time, New York will welcome the Disney Wish.
