Disney Cruise Line has just made another major change to its requirements for passengers related to the ever-changing COVID scenario. The changes involve requirements related to COVID testing for fully vaccinated Guests, as well as requirements for testing of non-vaccinated passengers.

Journalist Scott Gustin shared the news with a tweet, which reads, “NEW: Effective Sept. 23 on the Disney Dream, Fantasy, Wish and Wonder — and Nov. 7 on the Magic: Testing no longer required for fully vaccinated Guests. Non-vaccinated Guests no longer required to test at terminal – must submit negative test 1-3 days before embarkation day.”

Ok, so there are a few changes. Let’s break them down:

Fully-vaccinated Guests

Per DisneyCruise.com, once the change takes effect, fully vaccinated Guests won’t need a second COVID test on embarkation day:

For sailings aboard the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, and Disney Wonder beginning September 23, 2022 (and Disney Magic beginning November 7, 2022), fully vaccinated Guests will no longer be required to complete a second COVID-19 test at the terminal on embarkation day.

Non-vaccinated Guests

Non-vaccinated Guests will no longer be required to test at the terminal, but they’ll still have to submit a negative COVID test one to three days before embarkation day.

Effective Dates of the Changes

The effective dates of the changes depend on the member of the Disney Cruise Line fleet aboard which Guests plan to travel. For passengers traveling aboard the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, and Disney Wonder, the changes go into effect on September 23, 2022. For passengers traveling aboard the Disney Magic, the changes go into effect later–on November 7, 2022.
