Disney Closes, Renames Downtown Disney District Location
Exciting transformations are underway across the Disneyland Resort–and not just inside Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. The Downtown Disney District continues to shine as a destination for dining, shopping, and entertainment that guests can enjoy without a park ticket, all while embracing a refreshed look and flavor in 2025 and beyond.
The reimagined west end of the district welcomes guests with a mid-century modern design that complements an array of new experiences. Recently opened locations include the highly anticipated Din Tai Fung, Chef Carlos Gaytán’s trio of Mexican-inspired eateries—Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita—and the Parkside Market food hall, home to Seoul Sister, GG’s Chicken Shop, and the newly renamed Parkside Market Coffee.
Formerly known as Sip & Sonder, the café has rebranded to the bright, retro-inspired aesthetic of the food hall. While the name and signage have changed, guests will still find familiar favorites like the vanilla dirty chai latte, honey lavender latte, and iced oat milk latte, along with pastries and breakfast sandwiches crafted in collaboration with GG’s Chicken Shop. The café continues to serve kombucha on tap and a rotating seasonal slush, maintaining its beloved menu with a fresh presentation.
Parkside Market Coffee sits on the food hall’s lower level alongside Seoul Sister and GG’s Chicken Shop, while upstairs, Vista invites guests to enjoy beverages and open-air seating overlooking the lawn and stage. The layout encourages visitors to discover each concept in one convenient space.
The spirit of Sip & Sonder—originally founded by Amanda-Jane Thomas and Shanita Nicholas—remains part of the experience, even under its new name. Though Disney has not commented publicly on the rebrand, the update seemingly reflects a desire to create a cohesive visual identity across Parkside Market.
Elsewhere in the district, changes continue to unfold. Tortilla Jo’s closed earlier this year to make way for two new restaurants: Arthur & Sons Steak & Bourbon and Pearl’s Roadside BBQ, both set to join the growing roster of dining options. Alongside dining, guests can browse new retail destinations like Disney Wonderful World of Sweets, Avengers Reserve, and D-Lander Shop.
Whether stopping by after a day in the parks or planning a leisurely evening stroll, Downtown Disney remains a vibrant part of the resort experience—a place where every visit offers something new to discover.
