Disney Character Forced To Parent Child Who Ran Into Moving Parade Route
A recent viral TikTok video is sparking debate about parenting choices at the Disney parks. The video, shared by TikTok user @gadzooks2025, shows a young child running into the path of a moving Disney parade, causing panic among nearby guests. Fortunately, a Disney character performer quickly intervened and was able to escort the child out of harm’s way before the parade continued.

“Where are your parentsssss?” the TikToker captioned the footage.
The video, now viewed over 3.5 million times, shows the child running toward Daisy Duck, much to the shock of onlookers. As the child neared the moving parade, the character performer swiftly grabbed her hand and led her to safety, preventing what could have been a dangerous situation.
Disney Parks fans reacted quickly to the video, and most were horrified that the child’s parents or guardians were not present or didn’t intervene sooner. Many criticized the parents for allowing their child to run into such a potentially hazardous situation.
“She is way old enough to know better,” said @i_love_snacks_18.
“I’ve had it with parents not parenting,” @dhw1987 wrote. “Daisy had had it too. Good for her.”
The quick-thinking character performer who stepped in to save the child received praise for handling the situation professionally.
“Daisy took care of business!” @berns1229 wrote.
However, not everyone agreed with the criticism of the parents. Some viewers defended the child and suggested the situation may not have been as severe as it appeared.
“This girl likely went from sitting with her family, and watching the parade to running to hug her favorite character,” @chrystal_r commented. “The family jumping to chase her only makes this more chaotic. Disney is trained to return the child in the direction they came from.”
“She’s probably on the spectrum yall don’t know anything about this child..,” @mamanjordyn argued. “Stop judging her and her parents..Also parents of children on the spectrum sometimes don’t want to make a big [scene].”
As a reminder, never walk in front of a moving parade at the Disney parks. If you must cross the parade route, wait for the designated safe times or ask a Disney cast member for guidance.
