Disney Park Building Held Together With Tape After Guest Vandalism
A Disney Park guest’s bizarre act of vandalism has left part of Disney California Adventure Park temporarily held together with nothing more than black tape. What started as an unexplained structural issue rapidly turned into a mystery involving stolen park property and an unexpected confession.
Guest Confesses to Taking Disney California Adventure Park Stone
Last month, Disney Dining reported that a chunk of a decorative wall piece mysteriously disappeared from a support pole at Disney California Adventure. Rather than replacing it immediately, Disney crews patched the damaged area with black Gaffer tape, leaving guests wondering what had happened to the missing stone.
Many assumed an out-of-control scooter had crashed into the pole, as multiple guests had reported seeing similar accidents leading up to the incident. However, a recent online confession completely changed the story.
A Stolen Disney California Adventure Souvenir?
An anonymous Reddit user claimed to know someone who had stolen the missing stone. A screenshot from their conversation shows the alleged culprit admitting to breaking off the piece and taking it home as a personal souvenir. They even shared photos of the stolen stone, matching the Disney California Adventure’s missing wall section.

According to the Redditor, the guest now uses the stolen piece as a paperweight: “It now resides at their place as a paperweight.”
Disney Parks Fans Demand Consequences
The confession quickly spread online, sparking outrage among Disney Parks fans. Many argued that Disneyland Resort should permanently ban the guest for vandalizing park property.
“IDK what to call it but here it is,” Redditor u/cubic_zirconia_hands wrote. “I’d call it vandalism and stolen.”
Another user, u/EmoNightSac, added: “I call it INSTABAN.”
Will Disneyland Resort Take Action?
At this time, Disneyland Resort has not publicly commented on the situation or provided a timeline for when the Gaffer tape fix will be replaced with a permanent repair. Whether Disney will identify and penalize the guest remains unknown.
What To Do If You See Suspicious Behavior at Disney Parks
If you witness vandalism or other inappropriate behavior at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort, Disney encourages guests to report it to the nearest cast member. Rather than intervening, let trained Disney employees handle the situation to ensure safety and appropriate action.
