In 1995, The Walt Disney Company partnered with Pixar Animation Studios to create the world’s first fully computer-animated feature film, Toy Story. Since then, the two studios have collaborated on numerous acclaimed films, including Monsters, Inc. (2001), Finding Nemo (2003), Ratatouille (2007), Up (2009), Inside Out (2015), Coco (2017), Elemental(2023), and more.
Pixar has had such a profound impact on Disney fans that, in 2018, Disney hosted its inaugural Pixar Fest at Disneyland Resort. The event featured specialty food and beverages, limited-edition merchandise, rare character meet-and-greets, and a nightly fireworks display.

Unfortunately, after its 2018 debut, Pixar Fest did not return to the parks. However, in 2024, Disney announced the revival of the beloved festival.
This time around, attendees enjoyed specialty foods and a wealth of merchandise, along with appearances from Pixar characters who had never been seen in the parks before, such as Luca and Alberto from Luca (2021) and Ian and Barley from Onward (2020).
Additionally, a brand-new parade was introduced: Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! Parade. The parade showcased new floats inspired by films such as Luca, Soul, and Up. It included an original song, skaters, and plenty of unforgettable moments.

Recently, Disney seemed to confirm that the beloved Better Together Parade will be making its return after a successful run in 2024.
Disney has initiated casting calls for performers interested in participating in this iconic event. The auditions are aimed at filling several key roles, including characters from Turning Red, including 4*Town members and Mei’s friends, Miriam, Abby, and Priya, as well as characters from Soul. There is also a call for inline skating performers who will bring an additional layer of excitement to the Better Together Pixar Pals Celebration Parade.
In addition to the return of the Better Together Parade, Disney has hinted at the revival of other beloved attractions, such as the famed Paint the Night Parade. This parade has been a fan favorite since its debut in 2015, creating anticipation for its return alongside the Pixar-themed parade.
We do not know when these parades will return or what Disneyland Resort theme park they will be at. Disney Dining will keep readers updated as we learn more!
