Since April, Disneyland Guests Have Been Riding a Malfunctioning Attraction
For months now, Disneyland Paris Resort guests have been riding a malfunctioning attraction, with one animatronic figure staying motionless for an extended period of time. This issue has persisted since at least April 2025, leaving countless guests puzzled and frustrated as they board the Finding Nemo (2003)-themed Crush’s Coaster at Walt Disney Studios Park.
On August 4, 2025, X (formerly Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP posted a video showing two seagull animatronics featured in the attraction’s queue. While one seagull is operating properly, squawking “Mine!” as expected, the other seagull has remained completely still for months, even though its audio continues to play normally.

Guest reports suggest that the broken animatronic has been an issue since at least April 2025. Another guest, @395823sfsg, confirmed that the seagull was non-functional when they visited Disneyland Paris Resort earlier in the year:
It was already broken when we visited in April
Despite the animatronic malfunction, Crush’s Coaster continues to operate as usual. Located in the Worlds of Pixar area at Walt Disney Studios Park, the roller coaster takes guests on an exciting journey through vibrant underwater scenes featuring characters like Nemo and Squirt. The ride culminates in a dive into the deep ocean, where guests encounter fluorescent fish, jellyfish, and sharks before being swept up by the East Australian Current and returning to Sydney Harbour.
Although the animatronic issue has persisted for several months, Disneyland Paris Resort has yet to comment on when the broken seagull will be repaired. Stay tuned to Disney Dining for updates on this and other issues at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, and the international Disney parks!
