Disney Adults Lose Child-Free Disney World Location, Closure Commenced

After more than 20 years of laughter, live music, and signature cocktails, Jellyrolls has officially closed its doors at Disney’s BoardWalk. The popular dueling piano bar served as one of the last true nightlife destinations for adults at Walt Disney World, and its permanent closure on April 19 has left many longtime fans wondering what’s next.

A Fan-Favorite Comes to an End

The news of Jellyrolls’ closure had been public for some time, but as of this weekend, it’s now a reality. Guests packed the venue one final time to say goodbye, with many reporting long lines and emotional goodbyes. Known for its high-energy piano battles, crowd participation, and generous pours, Jellyrolls was a go-to for Disney adults looking to keep the fun going long after the parks closed.

In a heartfelt recap posted to Reddit, one fan described the final night:

“The line was (of course) crazy long. Me and my group waited about 2.5 hours. We snagged some seats and enjoyed the night… The second to last song played for the night was Piano Man (of course). Jellyrolls’ final song at the BoardWalk? My Life by Billy Joel!”

The post also noted that all eight Jellyrolls pianists took to the stage, each sharing a solo performance before the full group returned for a farewell medley. Staff members were invited on stage to take a bow, marking the end of an era.

BoardWalk’s Nightlife Scene Takes Another Hit

Jellyrolls isn’t the only recent closure at Disney’s BoardWalk. In January, Big River Grille & Brewing Works permanently shuttered, leaving two notable vacancies in one of Walt Disney World’s most iconic resort areas. Currently, the only late-night venue remaining at the BoardWalk is Atlantic Dance Hall, which has historically seen much lighter crowds and more limited hours.

With the BoardWalk Inn already undergoing phased refurbishments and the Screen Door General Store surrounded by construction walls, guests are speculating whether a full transformation of the area is in progress. Disney has yet to announce what, if anything, will replace Jellyrolls.

Where Can Adults Still Enjoy Nightlife at Disney?

For guests looking to fill the Jellyrolls-shaped hole in their Disney itinerary, there are still a few standout spots offering entertainment, cocktails, and late-night vibes:

  • Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – An immersive tiki bar filled with themed drinks and interactive effects.

  • The Edison at Disney Springs – A 1920s-style industrial nightclub with live entertainment, dining, and craft cocktails.

  • AbracadaBar on Disney’s BoardWalk – A magician-themed cocktail lounge with creative drinks and a touch of whimsy.

  • Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs – Indiana Jones-themed lounge with themed decor and a relaxed vibe.

  • Enchanted Rose at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa – A Beauty and the Beast-inspired lounge offering elegant cocktails and upscale atmosphere.

While none may fully replicate the energy of Jellyrolls, these spots are still great options for adults looking to unwind, connect, and enjoy a night out at the Most Magical Place on Earth.

For now, we say goodbye to a BoardWalk staple that brought music, laughter, and memories to thousands of guests over the years. Whether or not something new will take its place remains to be seen — but Jellyrolls won’t be forgotten.
