Details Announced for New Firework Show and Ratatouille Attraction Coming to Epcot at Walt Disney World

During the D23’s Destination D Mickey Mouse Fan Celebration there was a major announcement made for some of the changes coming to Epcot at Walt Disney World.  We previously announced that there would be a new fireworks show replacing Illuminations: Reflections of Earth and a Ratatouille attraction.  The new fireworks show is set to open at Epcot in 2020.  Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek provided additional details about the new nighttime spectacular, including that it will celebrate how Disney music inspires people around the world, and will feature massive floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics and lasers.

In also exciting news, before that new show debuts there will be a special limited time experience that Epcot fans will love, called “Epcot Forever.” This special show will officially debut in the fall of 2019.  It will feature classic Epcot songs.  This is sure to be a pretty awesome limited experience.

Bob Chapek also revealed new information about the new Ratatouille themed attraction also coming to Epcot.  The attraction will be located in the France pavilion within Epcot’s World Showcase and will officially be named Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

Another experience coming soon to the France pavilion is a new Beauty and the Beast sing along attraction created by Don Hahn, producer for the live action film.

Which of these new Epcot attractions are you most excited for?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
