D23 to Host 2 Events to Celebrate Epcot’s 35th Anniversary at Walt Disney World

Epcot is celebrating the 35th anniversary this year at Walt Disney World.  It opened on October 1st,  It is also a great time to be a D23 member since it has been announced that there will be 2 different D23 events to celebrate this exciting milestone for the park.  The celebration for Epcot is expected to take place the entire month of October and these special D23 events will add extra fun to the celebration.  These special events are open for Gold and Gold family members to enjoy.  We have the details on the events below.

The first event will take place early on October 1st to kick off the event at the World Showplace Events Pavilion.  The event will include three different presentations that celebrate Epcot.  The presentations will be with individuals that were involved in creating Epcot.  The event will also include a boxed lunch and a special gift for guests in attendance at the event.  The event will cost $135 per person, plus a $5 per person fee to process the tickets.  The tickets went on sale May 2nd on the D23 member page.

The second event will take place at the end of the day on October 1st, 1982.  The event will be a progressive dinner event that will move from location to location to enjoy a multi-course meal at different dining locations throughout Future World and World Showcase.  Some of the locations include the General Motors Lounge above Test Track and the private dining area inside The Seas pavilion.  There will be guests of honor providing presentations throughout the meal with opportunities to mix and mingle.  There will also be a backstage tour of one of the iconic Epcot attractions.  The event begins at 6PM and is expected to last about 4.5 hours. Of course there is also a special custom gift for each guest in attendance. The tickets for the event are $250 per person, plus a $5 per person fee to process the tickets.  The tickets went on sale May 3rd on the D23 member page.
