Couple Gets Engaged at Walt Disney World’s Opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge finally opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios within Walt Disney World yesterday, August 29th, 2019. The area was quickly at capacity as all of the guests poured in to check out the planet of Batuu. Among the guests to attend the opening were Robert Trevelyan and his girlfriend, Megan Bender. The pair are from Lake City, Florida and are now engaged after their visit to the immersive land.

The pair stopped to pose for pictures in front of the Millennium Falcon with Disney PhotoPass photographers. Megan looked back at the ship and Robert took the opportunity to get down on one knee and pop the question!

Engagements frequently happen all around Walt Disney World (including my own… 10 years ago!), but this one is extra special since it is among the first known engagements in this amazing new land. Congrats to the happy couple!
