53-Year-Old Disney World Attraction Closed After Fatal Malfunction
A recently resurfaced video showcases the stunning moment a malfunction brought the 53-year-old Country Bear Jamboree attraction at Walt Disney World Resort to an unexpected halt. The incident left guests in shock, and Disney cast members scrambling to manage the situation. One of the beloved bear animatronics appeared to “die” mid-performance, prompting the immediate evacuation of the audience.
The malfunction occurred when Bubbles, one of the animatronic bears, began leaking hydraulic fluid all over her costume while performing on stage. As the malfunction worsened, the animatronic froze, shutting down completely. This technical failure halted the show and forced Disney cast members to spring into action.
The Reimagined Country Bear Musical Jamboree

The Country Bear Jamboree, a staple in Magic Kingdom Park since its opening in 1971, underwent a transformation in 2024. The attraction was reimagined as The Country Bear Musical Jamboree, a Nashville-style musical revue with Disney classics reinterpreted in a country style. This revamped version introduced more advanced animatronics designed to maintain the nostalgic charm of the original bears while adding some modern flair.

Last week, TikTok user @emmamarryme reposted the video that captured this dramatic malfunction. The clip captured the hydraulic fluid leaking from Bubbles’ costume before she froze mid-performance. Before evacuating, the Disney Park guest filmed a close-up of the animatronic’s wet fur and outfit.

“NO BUBBLES DONT DIE,” the TikToker joked.
Country Bear Jamboree Repaired
When Walt Disney World Resort cast members noticed the malfunction, they swiftly evacuated the audience and began the clean-up and repair process. The animatronic was quickly repaired and returned to service, operating normally until her scheduled 2024 refresh for The Country Bear Musical Jamboree.
