Cinderella Abruptly Disappears From Disney World, Questions Go Unanswered
A surprising change took place at Disney Springs overnight. A Cinderella statue, which has been a fixture just outside the World of Disney store for years, has suddenly disappeared, and there’s no word yet on when—if ever—she will return.
Cinderella’s life-size statue has long been a favorite photo spot for Walt Disney World Resort guests of all ages. Positioned in front of the World of Disney store, the statue has become a staple of the Disney Springs experience, cherished by families as they take photos marking milestones and memories. Now, that iconic scene has been replaced by a temporary box painted to match the columns of the building.

The last time Cinderella’s statue was removed for refurbishment was in October 2024. She returned in December after undergoing a fresh coat of paint, a much-needed touch-up after enduring Florida’s weather for years. This time, however, there was no official announcement of a refurbishment.
On July 15, 2025, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @Attractions posted a photo taken outside the World of Disney, showing the once-familiar space now occupied by a plain, temporary structure. The post read:
Cinderella has been removed from the entrance of World of Disney. Or they look very different now.

Walt Disney World Resort has remained silent on the matter, as the park rarely issues statements about minor refurbishments. Interestingly, Princess Aurora’s statue, located just a few feet away, remains untouched despite having undergone refurbishment at the same time as Cinderella in 2024. Will Aurora be next? That question is still up in the air.
For now, guests visiting Disney Springs will have to make do without their favorite princess statue as a backdrop for their photos.
