Check Out Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge’s Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Coming to Walt Disney World

We are full of anticipating waiting for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to open later this year at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.  We previously shared a list of food and merchandise venues coming to the themed land and have more details around Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo.  Here is a synopsis of the story and theme for the location from Disney Parks Blog:

A multi-purpose transport shuttle docked on top of the large hangar will beckon guests into this fast-casual restaurant, a designated location for traveling food shuttles. Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs is in much demand for his culinary skills, so he moves from site to site in a modified Sienar-Chall Utilipede-Transport that becomes a mobile kitchen and restaurant – like an intergalactic “food truck.” His travels across the galaxy allow him to fill his pantry with exotic ingredients he uses to make new and unusual dishes inspired by the fare he created during his time working for Maz Kanata in her castle on Takodana. Now, “Cookie” is proud to share his cuisine with visitors at Tuggs’ Grub, a “traveling diner for diners traveling.”

Guests dining at the location will be able to choose to dine indoors in the hangar bay or outside in a shaded courtyard.  The Disney Parks Food and Beverage Concept Development worked hard with the teams to create amazing food and beverage options that will allow the food to become part of the story in the dining locations within Black Spire Outpost. The food will feature familiar flavors but may have different colors, textures and unique presentations.

There will be so many favorite menu options, but featured dishes shared so far are the Ithorian Garden Loaf and the Smoked Kaadu Rips.  The Ithorian Garden Loaf is a plant-based “meatloaf” that comes served with roasted vegetable mash, seasonal vegetables, and mushroom sauce. The Smoked Kaadu Ribs are country sticky pork ribs that are served with a blueberry corn muffin and cabbage slaw.
